Sambora is the reason I picked up a guitar in 1992! And Stranger in this Town is the best blues rock album ever in my opinion and EXTREMELY underrated and lack of commercial success be damned, it was a masterpiece! Undiscovered Soul was good just a bit too on the acoustic side for me, but loved Hard Times come easy, In it for love, All that really matters and title track. I love Aftermath of the Lowdown as well bc Richie's solos came back since they pretty much disappeared from every Bon Jovi album since Keep the Faith. I wish to god that one day I could meet him....I'd have a damn golden twinkle lol

I was never a big Bon Jovi fan, but I saw/heard a televised BB King concert in Chicago and Richie played several songs with BB and he sounded incredible. He was playing a red Gibson ES-335 and it was some of the best playing & tone I'd ever heard, will never forget that.

Well, Sambora has been known as a member of Bon Jovi back in the 80s...its 2016 as I'm typing this and yet to see Sambora winning any guitar player awards or recognition from the guitar playing community. Only thing that notable for him is banging Heather Locklear.

Boy, don't I wish I could just walk in and take a 1946 Martin D18 along with a Gibson Les Paul (1:28-1:30) Every time I have walked into Norms I never want to leave. I have to settle for the less expensive unfortunately. What a place to visit, Super hospitable folks at Norms as well.

I jammed with Richie when he was a member of the FM band. My band Slydin Home and his band did a two band show at the Aquarius lounge in Bordentown NJ. At the end of the night both bands came out and jammed on a blues tune.

I wouldnt be doing that on a 65 year old guitar that I'm sure could sell for tens of thousands today. It just sounds like it hurts the instrument, if that makes sense.
