Erik Knudsen How do you know that? Richie actually had song at least one song per show for years since the Bounce Tour, but not on the Keep the Faith Tour. He was probarbly pissed that Jon forced him to cut short the promo tour for his third solo album for the BWC Tour simply because he (Jon) wanted to buy himself into an investment group to buy a football team, not to mention that due to his (Richie) work on his own solo album he was barely involved in the production of What About Now. Add to that a seemingly relapse into alcoholism for Richie and you have your mor likely answer.

IMO he was frustrated from lack of respect from Jon. Richie had released a solo album since JBJ had promised a longer break for the band. Jon wanted to buy a football team and needed money so he announced they were creating a new album and another tour, and it cut Richies tour short. Jon had started to lessen and lessen Richie’s influence in the band and it became the JBJ solo show especially during the circle tour. Jon’s voice was also far weaker than Richie’s most tours after the 2000s, most notably the beginning of the BWC tour after Richies voice drastically improved from his solo tours. I think Richie got tired of it and having to carry the band live so often and then quit

Everyone’s sobriety level changed over the night. Look at their interviews when they arrived to now. Not a criticism. They deserve it! Richie has always been the fun jokester. Jon’s more serious. Again not a criticism. Richie doesn’t want to tour for 18 months & he wants to be in charge. Nothing wrong with that. I know I hate jobs with a lot of travel. I think they need to have an abbreviated tour with Richie. But still keep they’re regular tour with Phil X. There’s still a lot of love between Jon & Richie. I hate the way Richie left. Bon Jovi's last record from 2016 was the best record they ever made and it was without Richie it hit #1.Then released it again in 2018 with 3 new songs and it hit #1 again first time that's ever happened with a record in the music industry.

Saw a couple of pics that you can see a band, so he's combing forward the bangs over that and it looked like it goes over the crown of his head (teased up). Nothing wrong with aging gracefully but he seems to be fighting it. Seen people say it before, I didn't think so, but after that I think he is using extensions. I think him and Jon butted heads on music .he was not happy with the music direction . especially on the what about now record. This man is a tremendous guitar player ,and highly underrated in my opinion .his solo records are amazing .maybe not as commercial popular as the bonjovi stuff but still well appreciated by the die hard like myself .after math of the low down better record then what about now for sure in my opinion .jon wanted to take the band in a more pop direction and Richie did not .of course it's not the 80 s any more .but to here's a fine line .the guitar on the last record was missing something compared to other records .I love keep the faith ,these days etc very musically and guitar driven of course like other records as well 8os and two thousands. What about now record seemed to be more of a jon thing and I think Richie felt it was missing the edge and direction of previous efforts .classic musically differences scenero .aka Paul and Jon . Beetle's scenero.i would love to see him come back sometime .but I'm. Not sure if he wants to or if the band wants him back. I guess I understand it the show must go on .but does not mean every one is going to embrace it .nothing against Phil x but he didn't help create those old albums and or songs .there in the studio again with Phil .I hope they make a better record bc let's face it house was not there best effort either .

I think you answered your own question as to why he was inducted.... He was in the band for some 30 yrs (arguably the bands most successful period) and he co wrote most (probably all) of their songs. There is no denying that the guy wrote some of the most recognizable and memorable guitar licks of the 80's and 90's and into early 2000 with Crush Bounce and so on.
