Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi - Wanted dead or alive, live 2005, with Lorenca Ponce playing the violin... (What an excellent performance by Richie! By the way I love his smile at the beginning of the video;-)

Still miss you and will miss Jon. my history of music is parents' classical, me Beatles, then 1st hubby of Sinatra and Rack Pat, ccr Elton, and now me a new found Rocker at 74 etc. love your song, Father Time and others . love your voice. Take Care of yourself, would love to give you a hug and just hang out over a few and just talk music. Background is German and understand 'humor re Jewish background'.... mixed in Vancouver, Canada, its a life. We could chat and relax. hug your little one Ava. and all the best to your mom.

Richie has great breath control. From a technical standpoint it creates a fuller sound. Breathing from the diaphragm makes it easier to sustain notes without breaks. It also results in more strength and stamina without putting a strain on the vocal cords.

Richie Sambora's talents go so far and beyond what Bon Jovi fans could ever imagine! I considered myself a huge fan. Now I understand why Richie seemed content to remain somewhat in the background to Jon. Not to take anything away from those who play with Richie on his own or The Band Bon Jovi. Whether whoever chooses to stay, go or reunite. Will make for some killer music. Richie congrats on going solo. I wld like say stay solo bcause you totally can keep pulling it off as long as you choose. Jon I have a lot of love for Bon Jovi the Band but seriously guys y'all could totally be on top all together, but definitely lacking seriously with what Richie and his Band can bring to the table. Hopefully we will see y'all back together sooner than later.

yea but you have to admit it is kind of embarrassing when your guitarist can sing better than you, the lead vocalist. plus he's the guitarist so naturally, he can play better than you.

Yes it must be...but Roche wasn't lead singer burning his vocals out night after night like jon did for s few decades . So yes Richie ended up with better vocals But Jon ended up being a far better person in the end ....

Better tone, phrasing than JBJ.
@stevieross14028 жыл бұрын
+King Pin Sorry my friend, Samboras voice has a much more natural 'Rock' feel to it, whereas JBJ forces texture into his voice to achieve a sound that he doesn't naturally posess. All that being said, they're very successful, so what you or I think is pretty much matter less. This is all just my opinion which counts for nothing at the end of the day.
@stevieross14028 жыл бұрын
+King Pin Yeah, a nice exchange of differing view points. ........Respect!......Enjoy your music listening my friend.

People talks about Jon not being Jon anymore without his freakin voice, of course, the voice lifetime of a lead singer is way shorter than a back vocal, please fellas, Richie was the back vocal, his voice is awesome a now it's time for him to use it, Jon times has passed already, but he is still Jon Bon Jovi!
@ChartreuseKitty10 жыл бұрын
True, but this is from 2005. Richie has since blasted his voice with coke and booze. It hurts to listen to him. And Jon sings through his nose these days. Good thing we have KZbin for the old good stuff.

Andrew Farias Sort of like pro athletes. After awhile, arthritis and age starts to kick them in the ass and they have to call it quits. I'm glad Jon still wants to sing but the music on the next album is going to have to stay in a lower key because like you said, he can't his the notes he did 30 years ago. Getting old isn't all it's cracked up to be. It sucks!
@johncusato39199 жыл бұрын
I don't think Jon's voice is quite what it was back in the day. I love Bon Jovi although their performances these days are now more professional. Maybe with age his voice has lost something, but I reckon they're a great band.
