And that guitar solo towards the end WOW ,We miss you. Come back.
@MeemsKaso5 ай бұрын
Oh my dearest Carol...I just turned 60 myself. My heart broke reading your note. If I had a teleport machine, I would send you back into the 90's to see Bon Jovi in concert. It is with a heavy heart that I tell you I've lost count on the amount of times I saw them live. The first time I saw them was September 9, 1989 at Cal Expo in Sacramento, California. At that time, I was coming to terms with the departure of Steve Perry from Journey. Through HS & College, Journey was my band. Without Steve, Journey was dead to me. As a new mom, my cousin took me to see Bon Jovi. Oh WOW, were they spectacular. Beyond words. From there forward, I lived & breathed BJ. BUT not Jon...Richie! Always Richie, since 1989. I attended concerts up & down California. Upon Richie's release of Stranger in this Town, his tour dates were announced and I purchased tickets to see him at the Warfield in San Francisco, November 11, 1991. Billy Falcon opened for him. Just wow! Being able to see him play & sing...JUST HIM was magical. I would argue that it was Richie's voice that made BJ. Not Jon. When I saw Richie, alone, my argument was correct. I did not want that night to end. His voice is so full, & rich. He is truly an old soul. His voice & lyrics tell you so. How I wish I could have known you back then. I would have taken you with me. Happy Birthday! ps...I continue to attend concerts. There is no age limit on music. In a few weeks I'm seeing Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf twice. Dallas & Waco. Go to any concert you want mama! Live! Music allows our souls to breathe!

Someone asked me once who my favourite drummer was because of my love of rock music, and I have to say without a doubt Tico Torres. He throws himself into every performance. And no one can rock a set of drums like him.

Yeah...wow... impossible not to cry everytime I listen to this song... Richie performance is brilliant . Look at his face, so emotional, we can feel his heart through his voice in every single second of it... I miss those days when they were all playing together, and I was much younger than I am now... and the music scenario was so much better and beautiful...

My favorite part of soooo many of BJ songs is when I hear Richie voice doing back up vocals. His voice gives me chills. To hear him doing this is amazing. It's almost like a completely different song. Country feel to it. Absolutely love it !!!! Miss him.

Richie is the soul of Bon Jovi. Him and Jon are dynamic duo. They belong together. Please forgive and reunite. Life is to short

It was his choice to leave he made the band change

The band is a band and will forever be bon Jovi. The bottom line is every one of them is talented all the backup players David is amazing Tico is amazing Jon bon Jovi is amazing. To pull a band together with a man named David x and still have the unbelievable following speaks volumes and they all sing volumes. As I said before Richie chose to lose the band never showed up never called Miss 88 shows and could have ruined hundreds of Korea's of all the Roadies so as much as I love him and I miss seeing him he did this to the band the band did not do this to him. So let's get real here Richie sambora split without any explanation

I have heard this song performed by Jon soooo many times, it's lovely but coming from Richie it is so much warmer, true, heart-melting. I am crying. I absolutely can not wrap my head around how can there be a bon jovi band without THE Richie Sambora.

I attended Richie last week, and Jon a few years ago. Richie version is indeed way better, this music was made for his voice

There's no coincidence IBTFY or ITA weren't played on this tour. Nobody can sing those songs like Rich did (or still does as a solo act). Miss them together, though :(

Richie was the soul of Bon Jovi. Jon may be the front singer but Richie sings with more heart. What they had together was unique and I don't like Bon Jovi without Richie.
