Richmond's JAMES RIVER Blue Catfish!!!

It has been a while since I have put up a video.....but trust me, I have been fishing!
Lately, I have been on the mission of putting some younger friends on some fish!
It was no struggle to find the worms, but finding the the bream did seem impossible. After time and effort for sunfish, we decided to fish with eels! Ended up wishing those and Gizzard Shad and ended up on top!

Yea dude, I went today only caught a couple 15lb cats, can't WAIT for spring/summer so bait will be easier. Might try the shad run this year for the 1st time ever...I'm not even a lure fisherman 😮 could get dangerous

@@chadgreenaway8289 Hell yea man, that's a heck of a lot better than a bunch of people tellin me they keep getting skunked. As of now, the gizzard shad have got a lot more abundant. So that has made me a little happier 😂😂 Dont get me wrong, I love lure fishing for striper, but something about shad fishing just gets me. They act like little tarpon. Hickory shad also make great bait! Just make sure youre keeping hickory and not the american shad. Let me know how ya do, Im more than willing to help man.

you could always try using chicken breast i fish at the dutch gap public boat landing in chester and ive had good luck using that
