Crowd just shy of 95k the atmosphere last night was electric. 1st half Geelong fans were vocal and Tigers were quiet then in the 2nd half it was the opposite. Bachar was everywhere and always steps up in finals games when the game is in the balance.

Best game I have ever seen! I was overseas at the time and couldn’t get reception but got live updates. I thought we were gone at half time, each time I refreshed the page we would be closer to the lead. It was an incredible feeling and especially to beat geelong in a prelim! That tap from Riewoldt to dusty was elite, probably my most favourite play in footy I have seen. I went to the grand final the following week. One of the best days of my life!

The rules are actually for a home state final. Why should geelong get special treatment to play down at that windy hell hole that can't hold anywhere near as many supporters as the mcg. Maybe you could argue they should have probably played the eagles down there but they won that game anyway. Don't get me wrong I can see why supporters want geelong playing at their ground. They're a top 2 team when playing in geelong and more like a 5-8 team anywhere else, but that's their problem to figure out.

How do you pay a free kick, not say or signal who's free it is, and then pay 50m when a player that wasn't involved in the play unintentionally gives it to the wrong person. And then when an umpire says and signals to leave the protected area and the player flat out ignores the direction the umpire is pointing and keeps running through the protected area while not following an opposition player, doesn't get paid 50m.

Umpires normally do that, then follow up with the team name and player name. Is there vision somewhere that shows this? Note also that Dangerfield uses the tactic of turning his back, so that Cotchin can't give him the ball and mark a player. And what a dive by Dangerfield! Hope he gets fined for staging, along with Gryan Miers, to teach them to act like grownup men!

This is why Chamberlain should never umpire any match, he has zero feel for the game to be paying such a ridiculous (and potentially crucial) nit-picky 50 like that when the free was so dubious in the first place. Every fan knows his name and most hate him accordingly, that's no coincidence. How many other umpires can you name? Some guy clocked up 400 games recently and I had never heard of him, which is as it should be. Yeah, they wouldn’t even let Geelong play any finals in Geelong, so Geelong win the minor premiers but have to play in Melbourne. With that logic you may as well make GWS play their home finals at the SCG and make Gold Coast (when they start making finals) play at the Gabba.
