That custom Sodbuster Jr sounds incredible! I'm super excited to see the video on it when it comes back to you. Brass lanyard tube and a half stop?!?! That sounds like perfection to me, man! I mean, I don't absolutely NEED a half stop, but it sure is nice to have one, you know what I mean LOL? I'm stoked that you put an edge on The BEAST haha. Sodbuster Jr's are great and all, but sometimes you just need to be carrying a pocket-sword 🗡 ⚔ 😀

Because of you and Erica, I went on a hunt for cheasnut bone soddy. I found one and bought it. I think I got the last one in the USA. What a troucious. It had 1/8 " blade play. Liner gap was whole length of liner. Both pivots were lose. I tied to tightened the pivots with brass punch and anvil,which i have done in the past. It took a lot to get blade play out. Now its like your soddy. Action is terrible close, but can live with it.

I ordered a red workman sodbuster the other day, just got it last night. I love the pattern and the color. Carbon steel is awesome. The fit and finish are not the best, it’s got some gaps and the blade is off center a bit, but not rubbing on the liner. The pull is good, but it’s just a bit lazy on the close. They didn’t do a very good job sanding the covers, one is a bit square and at the butt end where covers and liners come together, where the blade is when closed is a little sharp. I think I can fix it so it’s not sharp. I really like Case knives, but I truly wish they would get their quality control a bit better. I want to get a carbon bladed trapper knife. I have a Imperial style of sodbuster that I paid seven bucks for and the fit and finish are awesome on that thing, but not a carbon blade either. I am not a knife snob but for the money you pay for a Case I think it would be a bit better. I bought it to use, not to be a safe queen. But anyway that’s enough about that. Thanks for the video and I can’t wait to see the ones that you are having modified. Sounds pretty cool. And I really enjoyed the video. Can’t wait to get some patina on my new carbon blade.
