Thanks so much Christina! I actually did one about a month ago, but it received a very mixed reaction on my channel and a lot of negativity!! I love the sound of my hook though.... maybe I will try again in the future :)

This stitch reminds me of something but I can't think of what it is. I think it would make a great hot pad in a heavy cotton yarn.

I was thinking maybe some place mats for the table done in cotton. Would be really cute, and easily washable when dripped on with food.

You are basically chaining multiples of 2. She did 20 chains in this example. ROW 1: Work one sc into the second chain from hook. *Chain one, skip one chain and sc in the next, repeat the "chain 1, skip 1, sc in the next stitch" all the way across. End of row 1, chain one and turn work. ROW 2: 1/2 dc into top of first sc (ch 1 does not count as a stitch). Skip first st and in the ch 1 space you will work the puff stitch (puff stitch = yo, insert hook in ch 1 space, and draw up a loop, yo insert hook in same space and draw up a loop, yo insert hook in same space and draw up a loop, yo insert hook in same space and draw up a loop (make sure you yo hook and insert 4 times). You should have nine stiches on hook. Yo hook and draw through all nine of the loops on hook. Chain one, skip next sc, and work another puff stitch in the next ch 1 space. Repeat all the way across. Work in final puff in last ch one space. Work 1/2 dc into the top of that first sc. Ch 1 turn work ROW 3: sc into the first 1/2 dc stitch chain one, skip puff stitch, work sc into next ch 1 space. Ch 1 skip next puff stitch, work sc in next ch 1 space. Repeat all the way across. Hope this makes sense. My suggestion is to use these written instructions with the tutorial to make sure it correct. I am not perfect but did want to try to help you. Happy hooking!!!

What kind of yarn do you use, it’s beautifully spun together and has a pretty sheen. I’ve been meaning to ask. Looks very soft.
