Not sure why the "lol" but his stance on being against Canada's energy sector, and I think a lot of what he wants to get done with regard to the socialization of pharmacare and dental is just far too expensive and would result in obscene tax increases (not saying I don't agree with socialized medical services, but to the level he wants to do it is just too expensive) and same with his low income housing strategy. You can't pay for all this by just saying "we're gonna tax the rich". It still wouldn't be enough, not to me ruin the rich will always find a way to protect their money. Also his stance on decriminalizing all drugs.

I teach at a college and the class that comes in to use the AutoCAD classroom after my morning lab this year has at least a dozen Sikhs and they always wear the most vibrantly coloured turbans. The NDP has been polling pretty consistently at 17%, which is above the party's historical average. It is also higher than Jack Layton polled for parts of 2011. They got a fair chance, all things considered.

Jagmeet actually to me seemed like one of the most respectable and genuine candidates in the election. The only problem i had with him (and more his parties direction in the campaign) was they didn't choose to stand for anything or ignite their electorate.It was just about how they aren't blue or red.

I'm conservative but I support Singh. He is a better guy than most in the NDP or Liberal party machines. So that's good in itself. I m a Sikh too but I don't like the idea of voting for a party who favours Sikh or brown people. To me and every practising Sikh its always about welfare of society/country we live in, its about who works for betterment of the nation. But when I saw him confronting that lunatic racist without saying I m not a Muslim but a Sikh. I actually loved it as this is how a Sikh should be. Always standing for individuals who are at a disadvantage regardless of their faith or colour. Sikhs have suffered a lot of tyranny and pain from Mughals who happens to be Muslims too but Sikhs have been taught by The Gurus to not to hold grudges against anyone. This guy is a model of that Sikh ideology. I may vote for him but Trudeau has been bullied by Indian Govt. a lot this year and he is at a disadvantage, so I may end up supporting him. Though my original choice was Conservatives and never NDP or Liberals. Though frankly Liberals/Wynne has managed to piss off just about everybody in the province.
