New Rick and Morty Reaction - lmaoooo you all did a great job at not spoiling this one for me. So...Rick and Morty as we knew them are dead?? Instead we are moving on with alternate versions?. This is some dark heavy stuff wow! I did not expect that lol. Also, that scene when Morty contemplates his new reality as he walks and stares at his family is very haunting and I reaally, really liked it from the visual point of view.

@@amandamiquilena I've just recently discovered you, and I like your reactions so far. I think part of it, because it was something that was mildly disappointing to me, is that when you take a moment to talk, passively your brain stops listening and focuses on what it was saying. Because of this, you can miss small details and jokes that have big implications (so far as Rick and Morty goes as these are the few videos I've seen thus far). Which isn't really a big deal, you seem to enjoy the show, so I'm willing to bet you'll re-watch it and see everything as it is so I let that go, but I did notice it. I think that may be why the jokes turn people away. You may say them at a part that they really like and you don't have much of a reaction to it because it was delayed in your mind. I think they're missing out personally, you have a great personality and you express your feelings so well. That's on them though. Keep doing what you're doing!

It's cool that you're looking at the KZbin analytics and trying to help get more views and all that but what I would love to say to you is, your audience is still out there and just are not aware of you yet. I wouldn't overcorrect too much. A lot of people, including myself, love your style and your editing. A good happy medium would be best, don't overdo what you were doing but don't totally stop it either. Find a good happy medium, that's the best advice I could give.

I love your editing and humor. But I will say the thing that sets the best and most successful reaction videos apart is not having a lot of stuff at the beginning and instead just getting to the reaction. I won't name any names, but there's another youtuber who reacts to a lot of Rick and Morty, and I always end up backing out of her videos because she spends TWO OR THREE MINUTES at the top talking about herself and her channel. I can understand you wanting to change your editing, but your jokes and reactions are why I watch. If I had to guess, I'd say some people are hoping to watch the episodes, without commentary. I agree with you and don't worry I'm very clear on that. If people only and exclusively want to watch the show then they should go to Netflix or Amazon Prime, that's why I don't pay attention to certain comments because this is KZbin where people react, of course there's going to be commentary and yes, jokes lol but what I'm trying to do right now is to level down my "intensity" and allow more people to come and get to know me. I'm trying to apply criticism and learn which is good. I'm still going to be me though, I don't think I can ever be just a prop sitting there and letting the movie/series just roll lol

I had found your channel pretty recently and I've been watching your Rick and Morty reactions, but of course, once I'm caught up imma try to get to the other ones. I don't think that you should stop adding your jokes or adding edits. To be honest I subscribed because I thought you to be funny and really sweet. You shouldn't change the way you are for others, only change yourself for yourself. The viewers are not in control of your channel, just because one or a few are bothered doesn't mean a thing. I hadn't noticed before, but Rick's invocation of "haste makes waste" to tell Morty to hurry-up as they're dragging their bodies away is completely the opposite of what that saying means. That can't have been accidental, though I'm not sure what it means. I love all the little meta/narrative comments Dan Harmon likes to add, a la Abed (Community). "This is my last-ditch reset" and "we can only do this a few times, tops" also describes what the writers had to do to get this episode back to the "sit-com normal" state for the beginning of the next episode, as demanded by the format. They can't go to that well too often, or the audience stops feeling like the events we're observing have any stakes. This is the episode that made clear that (very minor Breaking Bad spoilers? Gives away a plot-point, but the point of the series is the process, not the result) this series was going to do to Morty what BB did to Jesse Pinkman, ie. completely destroy him. I'm not really sure what the deal is with the "Cronenberg world" Cronenberg Rick and Morty are talking about at the end. They say everybody was Cronenberged all along (gonna start abbreviating that to C), but if that were the case, what was the deformation C R&M introduced that ruined that world and prompted them to flee? Unless, as C-default people, their view of getting C-ed was to be transformed into, perhaps, what we would see as a "normal" human, making the C Sanchez family the odd ones out in a C-default world that C R&M had unintentionally un-C-ed (not sure I'm using words any more). It does make one wonder about why this R&M didn't go to the de-C-ed C-world, though. Perhaps the de-C-ed people were still all lusting for Morty. I don't find your editing at all overpowering or anything like that, and quite enjoy it. There seems to be a contingent of people in reaction channels in general who... want to watch the episode without commentary? Which is a weird thing to come to a *reaction* channel for. It's like going to a movie theatre and complaining that there's a bunch of other people in the room watching the film with you. I don't know what such complainers are expecting; if they just want to watch the episode, why don't they just go... do that? Nobody's stopping them. It's all very strange. I think some people just really like complaining and telling others what to do, and, honestly, good riddance to that bunch. Let them indulge their insecurities on their own. You have the right to do whatever you want with your channel, of course, but I think your "if it makes me laugh and I like it, I'll include it" idea is the right one. There's always some understandable pressure in art to follow popularity, especially when commerce is involved, but I think that can be dangerous, too. Popularity is fickle, and pursuing it too far can result in your art losing its voice, but I'm sure I'm not saying anything you don't already know. I just wanted to suggest that this community could be viewed as something like a group of friends; when you're yourself, you attract people who like to see you being you. That's not going to be everybody, but the people in the "you" group aren't about to go anywhere, either. A lot of people can do whatever the fashion of the day happens to be, but only you can do "you", and the fashionable stuff in general will never be as interesting and authentic to your "you" audience as your content will be. Basically, you're best at being you, no-one else can be you, and we like you, so it might be a good idea to just be you and have faith that your people will find you, however many that might be. I know that's easier to say than to do, especially if you're trying to make your art a going concern, but it might still be the best option on the table. My two cents, anyway. Thanks for all your work, and best of luck, whatever you choose to do!

If I were you, I wouldn't worry so much about the reviews, I mean most people will always go straight through your videos, or click out of curiosity and then leave, the ones that will stay and watch until the end are few. regardless of whether you make too many jokes or not, there is an audience for everything, and those who will stay, will stay for the sole reason of liking the way you do things, what causes the most distaque on youtube is the charisma, so just continue to be as it always was and wait for your audience to grow naturally with people who really like your videos and your unique way of making them

At 7:20 I think it's fair for Rick to compare what Morty wanted to guys who 'roofie' girls. Morty wanted to be with Jessica but he didn't think like he had a chance to be with her when she was 'sober'. So he wanted something that would remove her ability to say 'no' to him so he could get with her while she wasn't in her right mind. It's understandable though that young Morty wouldn't see how insidious what he was asking for was.

As for edits: I don’t mind a cutaway to full-screen text explaining something about making the video, or a fun fact overlaid in text, or a corner video of you or a cat, inviting viewers to like/subscribe… but some of the meme drops-especially the loud, in-your-face corner-screen popup GIF/memes with video and audio-take me completely out of connecting to what the characters are going through. Just a hypothetical example, but I don’t need a Tyler Durden “I just wanted to ruin something beautiful”meme suddenly appearing in a popup window, right in the middle of a really intense Rick and Morty scene already happening in the main window (and Fight Club is one of my favorite films). This show can be an emotional journey, so you can only interrupt the vibe so many times before some viewers just go watch the actual episode on Hulu. The sidebars can work in light and funny scenes, but when you drop that bowling ball in the middle of a pivotal character arc moment, it just feels in poor taste. PS: I hope you never ever self censor when it comes to things you have to say, because I find you incredibly insightful and funny. Also: your editing on the first mom and second “watching with my mom” videos was impeccable!

You are wonderful just the way you are. I understand that you are trying to grow the show and all that and it’s good to evaluate everything and make improvements ( I think your perfect ). If I could single handedly support your show I would. I always think of analytics and watch my people all the way to the end or a second or two before the end. I always like and turn on notifications, it all affects the algorithm, I get it. But most people aren’t thinking that way when flipping through videos so what I’m trying to say is, don’t take it personal. Your mom is adorable and I love it when you guys react together. As far as growing your channel, I just think the secret is content, content, and content. Internet nerds are a huge market, so animation and Sci Fi is a good choice. I like what you've been doing so far, please don't ever change. Looking forward to more content from your channel. Your editing style is better than a lot of paid editors that I see on other channels. I think that you should keep being awesome and your channel will grow regardless. It's fine to look at analytics, but remember that a lot of people that leave quickly weren't going to subscribe, or watch the whole video, regardless of what you do. If you can, I would look more to who is watching your videos all the way through to see what demographics you, and your style, are appealing to. Though, that too is a mixed bag.

Oh hey, that's a cool compliment thanks! The problem is that the videos as they are, were not attracting a lot of people and the few people who watched them quit them quickly so, that causes the algorithm to not recommend them anymore and that, in turn, causes less views and less subscribers and well, that's not good. That's depressing lol. So that's why I'm trying to help my channel a little bit and listen to criticism and KZbin's own advice (the analytics) and apply all of that but still allow myself a little weirdness because...let's be real, I can't just stop being my goofy self lol

@@amandamiquilena ah, The Algorithm. Yes, that's an unfortunately difficult thing to have to deal with, but your plan makes sense since it's punishing you presently. If you're ever interested, I have done a fair amount of data modeling (physics, astro, machine learning, blah blah), so I would be curious myself about processing your dataset and seeing what correlations and causative features pop out. Though, I've never analyzed KZbin data previously, but that's what data exploration is all about.

The faceless masses can feel very cold some days on youtube. I know its difficult in the start, but i think the biggest thing that would help grow you at this point will be a little more of a schedule plan for what shows you will be watching. You have enough things going now to do a few different shows, and if you record a bunch at once and edit them per release itll be much easier to stick to it. Otherwise it was another beautiful reaction from a beautiful woman, not much can be complained about there

Yeah, a lot of people have pointed out that I need an schedule. I'm already working on it, I've been trying to upload tuesdays and saturdays but I haven't said anything because I'm still trying to see if I can actually do it so sshhhhh lol let's not tell people yet 😄

I like your editing style. I mean sure change some stuff, I want you to be successful. But I like watching you because of your unique style. But I feel like you know probably are still a bit of a beginner, with sound design, equipment and a lot of other stuff. I hope you find a good middle ground and I wish to see you grow.

No no no no. Hey, you do you. Sure, you might get a few more viewers and subscribers, but they probably wouldnt care about you as much. They would just be glad to come across another kind of show that they like. Look, the reason every channel looks the same is because every channel is giving into what youtube wants so youtube helps whoever does what they say. They dont want individualism. They want everyone to be the same. Just my opinion, the reason i like your channel so much is because you are being YOU! I love that! No one else is doing that anymore, and again, i actually like your humor. I actually laugh when i watch your videos. I respect your decision to do whatever you want to do with your channel. Its yours after all. I just think youve got a better thing going than you might think right now. The great thing about youtube, is that you dont very often lose subscribers and as soon as anyone comes across you, theyre gonna show you to them all the time anyway so they can show more ads. Im gonna watch no matter what, but you being yourself is why i watch

If I would give any feedback it's that people are generally not patient. If you have alot to say, it's best to make it short and snappy. But honestly that comes with practice anyway, so you're doing fine.

Your cat has a leak! I always liked your editing, but whatever you want to do is fine! Focusing too much on the analytics will eventually make any KZbinr miserable. I've seen it happen on other channels before. The information can tell you when any number of people stop watching, or skip ahead, but trying to figure out why these things happen can really make a person insecure. Just do what you like, and those who like that will enjoy it! I know we do.
