I think the funniest part of this episode is when the police are outside, the "only way out" for Morty was a vat of acid. And Morty just immediately went "God damn it you did this on purpose". And then gives zero fucks and goes along with the plan, since there's no point arguing anymore.

Ya, this is the episode that got me off the show because Rick was such a petty asshole. Apathetic assholes are one thing and in the early seasons that’s what Rick was. But petty vindictive assholes just rub me the wrong way which is what Rick became. He use to get angry at people for being one step behind him and having to stop to explain everything to them. Now he actively sets people up to fail so that they can look stupid and he can gloat about how much smarter he is while still taking pity on himself for having to live with the “burden” of being the smartest man alive as if all his problems don’t trace back to him just being an asshole

Honestly seeing the full story that Rick did this because Morty basically forced him into it saying he couldn't do it but the fact this all stemmed from that vat of acid incident (which I'll be frank could've worked in theory) I feel like given how Morty went about having Rick make this for him I feel like he should've seen something like this coming
@beardedgreek90699 ай бұрын
EDIT: A reply to my comment helped me realize the below explanation I gave is inaccurate as it doesn't take into account that Rick didn't *cancel out* the other timelines, he *merged* them all. Rick's "make the original Morty hypothetical" solution is literally time traveling. 😅 Going to a parallel universe to cancel out Morty's original choice wouldn't stop the other Mortys who used this button from existing unless *that one came first* and the others happened *after it.* 1. Button made. 2. Jump to universe. 3. Events are altered by button jump. 4. Repeat from step 2. By "cancelling out the original morty", they're going backwards in that time flow to before the universes Morty hopped through existed. Rick even says it's "timestamped". He actually *DID* invent time travel, he just gave Morty a bad version of it cause he was angry 🤣
@Bretaxy9 ай бұрын
No, it isn't time travel.
@MegaElGris8 ай бұрын
There is a difference between time travel and swapping timelines. Let's put it this way: Morty punches someone in the face. If Morty indeed time travelled and Morty didn't hit the guy this time, the event of Morty hitting somebody would be erased because he has "rewritten" the story of time. But since what Morty did was jump to another timeline, the events of him hitting someone still remain in the timeline he left behind. That's why when Rick merges all timelines, everyone remembers what Morty did because "everything happened, somewhere" and "only one Morty did them". If it was actual time travel no one should remember anything since Morty just rewrote the story over and over.
@beardedgreek90698 ай бұрын
@@MegaElGris the "merges timelines" is honestly something I overlooked, that does kind of throw a wrench into what I said above. It still kinda messed with time in a way, but it's not really *travel* as much as just.. idk really what to call that, timeline editing? I guess he's just merging the dimensions themselves though so.. good point! I'll edit my comment.

@axcurs Жыл бұрын
that isn’t that reality’s Rick, Rick c-137 is actually Rick prime but since he left Beth, the Rick we all know took his place since his Beth was dead and wanted to kill Rick prime(he killed his family pretty much). Reality c-137 was cronenberged(pretty much destroyed) and Rick and morty went to a similar dimension(without jerry, Beth, and summer)where they fixed the world but died shortly after, Rick and morty took their dead counterparts places and stayed in that dimension until season 6 episode 1 when the reality they resided in was destroyed again, they took the whole family this time and went to another similar dimension.

Like, he explained the prestige, which took me a while to clearly comprehend as to inderstanding why Morty's video game reset device didn't work exactly how he/we all thought/expected it would. I just don't get it, wouldn't that eliminate all ofher Mortys and rather mess with all alternate realities, or does he he mean just the 1s Morty prestiged to? Either way, realities would be messed up. I honestly need greater detail to explain hiw exactly Rick fixes this as he aays.....

What are the instruments in the background? I guess it's a synth? But that dark sounding growling synth, what's that called?

In all honesty, it's well deserved on Morty. You'd think he learned after the space snake incident to stay in the damn ship and to listen to Rick lol

Talk about a sales pitch. Interesting that Morty cares about his other-dimensional Mortys
