He's not doing the mayhem itself, he's just the catalyst for their mayhem. They literally formed their own version of the Night's Watch to counter his overhyped 'invasions' for the wine Rick had him leave there.

It's an interesting parallel. Morty gets mad at Rick for being the type to have a nemesis, and then by accident manages to become the evil demigod despised by a whole civilization. He's going down the path of becoming more like Rick, just by accident.

I feel like Space Beth, Zeus and now Mr. Nimbus are starting to set a trend of Rick not being at his best. This episode even starts with him being down and out with Morty having to save them both. Its kinda like someone talented losing the passion that got them started and their work starts to suffer.

Jesus, Great analysis! Love these for that. One Rick arc that's come up a couple times is him needing/longing for an equal/friend. I think that's being set up here with Nimbus. He's kind of an equal to Rick who seems to know him before he was "Rick." Though I could be wrong

That was a great start for this season. I haven't even thought about how each character got a introduction to his current story. There were so many things going on but it never felt off pace. Love this version of Morty where he is just a God of Destruction from another dimension.

6:54 Nimbus knew Diane but Diane was killed when Our Rick invented portal tech. This means Nimbus knew Rick and Diane back when they still had that ordinary-looking life from Ricks flashbacks! I'd always assumed Our Ricks life only became crazy after he got the portal tech. Apparently, before he invented portal tech, Our Rick had some interesting adventures of his own if he and his wife were on familiar terms with the king of the ocean

In all honesty, i think rick has gotten development but like backwards (which is suprsingly a good thing) He seems to be a lot more incompetent than he used to be and its rewarding to see him get knocked down a few pegs this season lol I think its a cool contrast that morty has started becoming his own person while rick has had a slight opposite effect.
