he probably uses a program like FL studio that has pre installed sounds like this, but some sounds he might need to go on the internet to download them yes. Its mostly setting up the pitch etc for all of the instruments that takes time

What settings are you using for the sensitivy? And how do you set the sensitivy for the drum pads?

I always turn off the velocity(in FL Studio) and turn on "Full level" button on the keyboard.
