Whenever I hear Rick Danko sing....it's like being wrapped in a warm blanket. It's the only way I can describe it!

More of our Canadian heroes! Yay! And their superpower is, they're REAL. Humble people.

I love his voice. In the study of hundreds of bands and solo artists over five and a half decades I am just discovering this melodic and unique stylist. Better late than never.

His singing and playing style is so unique. you especially notice it when he is playing on his own. he just plucks and strums away and sings in a lazy laid back style like it comes so natural to him. love it.

this is danko. Richard Manuel was the keys player, but he did indeed have a real sad story as he battled depression throughout his life. He ended up taking his own life.. very tragic..

I just recently discovered the talent of the members of the band and what a good bunch of people they were. Especially this guy, Richard. He seems to be a very good person. Someone I would have loved to jam with on guitars. It's sad the way the trouble he seemed to be having at the end. He had a great voice and could sing excellent harmony.
@hannejeppesen180910 ай бұрын
Did you mean RIck. The Band had 2 members with similar names, who you see here is Rick Danko, the member was Richard Manuel, both had great voices, some like Richard's better, some Rick's. It is hard to compare, I personally love Rick's voice he is so soulful and sings with so much feeling, Levon was a good singer as well. Richard Manuel committed suicide in 1986 at age 43, Rick Danko died in 1999 at age 56 of natural causes.

A Great Tune by Eric Anderson which inspired my tune Gypsy River due to Garth Hudson's great accordion on Eric's tune, even more powerful on my Gypsy River as Garth did three or four tracks of accordion on it, as well as keys..

Got to spend some time with Colin at a Danko show in Pawling Ny tears back. He had just visited White Plains NY the place where he grew up and was really excited about going back in time for a bit....He sang a song that night about "his baby and the telephone" cant find that song anywhere, anyone know if he ever recorded it?
