This joint will forever be a R&B Classic. RIP to Rick James and Teena Marie!

It is so sad and unfair that Rick is only remembered for partying and doing drugs because the man was a musical genius.

Once you hear this song it will be burned in your memory. These two set the bar very high for other artists to aspire to. Both are missed dearly, peace.

The King of Punk Funk and the Ivory Queen were the Dynamic Duo of that era. They're gone but Never Forgotten; their voices transcends time. RIP 🙏

Nobody thought he could make a song like this with a voice like that until he put this song out. Along with Ebony Eyes.

I was 32 in 1981. This was how our generation moved and grooved. We were only too happy to treated women like ladies. We were rewarded for doing so. It was a ball. I would not trade our culture.

Yes, she was. Teena was grafted into the "Culture" and like the branch that is grafted onto a tree can become stronger than the other branches Teena appreciated the "Black Culture" and in some cases was more appreciative than those in the Culture.
