@@voidxdonuts No, It's not, the universe is no longer made up only of realities where Rick is the most intelligent being alive, Evil Morty is a creation of Rick's actions and behaviour, he became smarter and desensitized living in others realities, this ending comes to show cause and consequence and the fact that there is always a bigger fish, also Rick Prime was arrogant, and perhaps the regeneration technology he created made him think he was invincible, living basically only facing Ricks, he was not prepared for what Evil Morty could do and how unannounced his death could be.
