I’m surprised they didn’t mention that short side plot of the time lady who literally begins to go down the exact same path as Rick but actually ends up living a better, healed life instead. Someone had mentioned how the music that played during that scene was the same as the one that played when we first saw the montage of Rick’s rampage that lead to the creation of the citadel, except that the lady’s music ended on a major chord whereas Rick’s ended in a minor chord

A nice little detail in the episode "A morte" is that the machine rick used to display the old mans memories is the same machine used in the memory waffle back in the citadels of rick. Meaning that another approach was to either make a psuedo product or a replacement but he chooses to end the cycle of violence instead.

If you think Evil Morty is going to disappear, you haven't been paying attention. MattPat makes a good point, but he forgot something...Evil Morty recognized Rick's emptiness immediately. Why? Because he is experiencing it himself. EM destroyed the Citadel, killed thousands of Rick & Mortys, and escaped to a distant universe to get away. But when we see him this season, he is dull and lifeless, relaxing in boredom, no goals or reason to keep going save survival. And now he can erase any being from all of existance. He has no support system, no one to call on. He is eventually going to try and fill that hole in him, no matter the damage.

Mattpat forgot some very good points. 'Evil' morty himself said that he knows that rick feels empty, and he shows how he is apathetic himself, obviously we'll see more of his future 'healing' as well. And another scene in season 7 was about SloMobious's wife, after her children forgot about their father, she went on a trip referencing ricks backstory, but she actually healed well by finding a guy who is on the same journey (dead wife) and got together with him.

Another nice touch is that evil Morty is the prime example of independence from Rick. From subjugating his own Rick, winning citadel presidency against other ricks and destroying Rick’s biggest accomplishment (dimensional portal travel) to set up a paradise in a rift along the curve. He’s the one who ultimately defeats Rick prime by acting like the Morty we follow and lowering Rick prime’s guard. Excellent thematic exploration.

I’ve got a theory that in the next seasons of Rick and Morty there will be time travel. In the last episode of season 7 a song plays while Morty is in the fear hole, Time and Tide. This song was specifically made for the show. There is a line that says “you can’t go back that’s the only rule, but rules were made to break when it comes to you” this could just be a song to set the mood or it might be for-shadowing that either Rick or Morty is going to die and they are going to go back in time and get them. Or it may be talking about Rick missing Diane. Either way it’s a great song.

One thing I loved but I think I only now really get the significance of is that Rick has a photo of Morty in his wallet. Like, Rick, smartest man in the universe, builds a robot with some kind of artificial intelligence just to pass the butter, has 10,001 implants made out of space age super diamonds and micro nanites made by other smaller nanites, and hates being cliche, has a physical paper photograph of his grandson in his wallet like a 70's sitcom grandparent who goes to bingo night just to brag about their grandchildren. I mean, if there isn't a whole 3 part video series unpacking the meaning behind that, I don't know why we even bother.

My favourite theory from MatPat was "Did Rick clone Beth?", as it seriously was the most precise and founded theory that I saw from Film Theorists. I am really glad that Matt got to do another R&M theory, as I feel that S7 was the first time the writers actually tried, thus the first good season since S3.

One thing I noticed about when Rick put Morty's picture up. That was a personal photo of Morty that Rick had in his wallet. It was clearly aged so he had it for a while but at the same time folded inside his wallet. No one could see it openly with in his wallet but he clearly loves Morty and that fact that he survived the fear hole alone he gain respect for Morty enough that he felt others should know it.

"Fear no mort" really was one of the best episodes ever produced. I loved it from start to finish. Especially the twist at the end was not obvious to me, which is very unusual in the current film and series world.

I think rick c137 died somewhere. There was a lot of rick robots we were watching. Ive thinking for awhile the morty c137 or cronenburg morty was with prime rick for awhile now. And, i think prime rick and evil morty work together... somewhere when evil morty was contacted a lot and found by rick our rick was prime rick already

I think that since our Rick only discovered the afterlife(s) after Rick Prime was killed, the omega device wouldn't have taken it into account, therefore Beth may actually still be "alive" in one of them! Which may be a potential route to recovering her! Maybe.

The name of the last épisode "Fear no Mort" is obviously a pun with "Fear no More" and Morty in it, like usual, but "Mort" hits different in French, it means "Death" literally, so one could translates it as "Fear no Death" meaning that Rick could finally accept the loss of Diane 🤔 Well that's just a theory though, a French theory
