@Brotherdeno7 жыл бұрын
Denzel Lima not saying there ain't no similarities brotha, but could you say a few for me? To me it's just something about the two I feel would make the mixture of the two something incredible and game changing.
@denzellima30797 жыл бұрын
I feel like Houston riding music has a similar feel to Bay area mob music with deep and wide range of funky baselines. also hi pitched synths going on. Houston is just a little more slowed down IMO but the vibes of riding and car culture reflects Houston style simliar to how bay area music reflects bay area car culture. both sounds got that slap in the trunk

God damn! I'm a Bay native, I always loved and grew up to Rick Rock. My high school theme music contained "with Rick Rock beats, yeah fella I rock ya" but I didn't know how much shit outside of the Bay Hyphy sound he's responsible for! A legend is an understatement I'm regards to him. In my younger days I used to make beats, that shit is NOT EASY or everyone could do it. Some people think making rap beats on computers and drum machines doesn't require musical skill. It requires tons! You basically have to be a composer! He's a modern Quincy Jones for sure.

It was the promo/product packaging that hurt them they didn't use any photos so it was hard to make a connection with the music without a face. No disrespect but E-A-Ski, One Drop Scott, and Tone Capone were the originators of hyphy. Rick Rock, Traxxamillion, RobLo (the Jacka's main producer. RIP) and others brought it to the forefront. IMO

I hear you guys. But what I meant was Rick Rock pretty much gave the hyphy movement a distinct sound. A lot of the Bay music was hyphy before the word was ever coined. Im not hatin, but cats was gettin hyphy way before Keak invented the word hyphy. Keak and Rick Rock pretty much put a label on the whole movement
