What is wrong with our culture where we don't hold GROWN MEN ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE THINGS THEY SAY AND DO. To even be having this conversation is wild to me because I don't care who these artist are, we gotta let them either redeem themselves or let them go because some people just aren't worth it
@staircaseradio62843 ай бұрын
@@IllSoulProductions a grown man needs to hold himself accountable.. such as grown men/women listening to the music and holding themselves accountable to know right from wrong no matter what they hear in a record.. why would I get mad at a grown man for being creative and practicing free speech? If we’re worried about “influence”.. we should be parents and guardian’s monitoring what our kids listen to while teaching them what’s fake vs real , same way we do when telling them things like “it’s only a movie”. Nobody told Wes craven to stop making Freddy Kruger movies.. and that shit traumatized me more than any hip hop lyric I can think of.

What do you mean? We definitely do. You may not but what are you talking about. Ross got into hot water over that song. You just want to sound like a thought leader without thinking
@lostintheark57283 ай бұрын
@@ImSoSilvy You may, but the world as a whole goes with general consensus instead of morality. If it did Trump would be in jail and not running, Diddy would've been in jail in 90s with Suge, Drake would be heading there instead of the world giving him another pass so these ppl can "turn up" to their personal puppet. Wars overseas wouldn't be going, we/the US would actually try to bring about peace without getting anything in return, just for peace on Earth. I don't wanna hear that's not how the world works, because it could be if everyone were held accountable. Ppl could change the general narrative to some constructive and beneficial to all, instead a select few. The world would be a dope af for all instead of those select few. But like the Bible paraphrasingly world is more selfish not self less, and the selfish aint concerned about accountability. Generation described in the book of Revelations, the worst of the worst.

I had literally almost given up on this channel after a number of questionable moves that finally culminated in Mecc trying to check the Trap Lore dude about his videos possibly CAUSING the violence it covers. Which is an insanely ridiculous concept, especially considering he doesn't even live in America or own a gun. But rappers and their associates who we KNOW have been convicted of murders or gotten away with them countless times sit across the shop never for a second fearing that anyone would even question the righteousness of such an act. This LaRussell interview is the first REAL MOVE I've seen towards correcting that. Even the Dee 1 interview should have gone a lot better and there should have been more reverence for him and his ideas. These are men of pure heart. When you sit in front of these kids and make them look corny, they don't listen to nothing else they have to say. That's a huge responsibility with a platform this large. Letting LaRussell speak without interruption is probably the most sincere thing that's ever happened to this channel. Let's bring the love back and keep it close. This gang/drug/ho shit is is played af considering the number of hustles there are nowadays. The next generation is acutely aware. 10-20 years from now, pods that glamorize that type of thing will be a far distant memory. I'm not saying squeaky clean and all that. But we need a hard reset. Hip Hop Culture (if we can call it that) has gotten disgusting if we are being open and honest. I want yall to be sitting in them chairs (or a dope studio) 20 yrs from now. The social currency garnered in interviews like this is priceless. Adhere to that, and you can't lose. Be the reason we grew out of the bullshit. Cuz being a reason to stay in it is typecast af at this point in the game. Let's get it

This is a dude that is revered and an absolute fraud in every capacity of the word. Guy had two shows in Detroit; one he got his tour bus ransacked and robbed when he was in the hotel, and the next he was a headliner and his bus pulled up to the venue and got surrounded by 50 dudes and they made him turn him around and leave without performing at a show he was the main act at. Then he talks about how real he is. The fact we let Drake and Ross be the symbols of the culture should be a wake up call as to how we lost our appreciation for the actual culture and art and started to only care about vibing, materialism, and superficiality. Shit is a damn shame. Even worse you have guys like this dude above me defending him 😂
