That’s by far the best set up I have seen especially with the access up into the bed area. Fantastic 👍🏻👍🏻

Very similar to the setup I'm planning with the popup top. Great to see to give a better idea on dimensions as it's one thing to see a plan on paper, but often very different in reality.

@@exploringoffthegrid I found a MERCEDES 917 AF over in Germany. It's the blue ones that have fold down plank steps to reach everything in the canopy. Thinking it would make a nice hybrid surf / expedition truck. 💪 Thanks to your rigs I saw a different set up than the regular habitat on the back expedition truck build.🛠⚙👍

Heys guys. Brilliant canopy design. Can I ask.... what is the actual dimensions of the roof top tent. It seems I can only get 3m x 1.6 from bundo-top. I am building a truck and the Mrs wants that design so she can get changed inside. Hope to hear from you.

Well done and a very interesting set up Rick as i can see you have put some time and effort into it all. I looked at doing one of these set ups years ago but ran into GVM etc problems. That come from towing a duel axle caravan behind and fitting all the big tanks and gear we all want to stay out longer. Now I'm looking into the new doka 5023 unimog that seem to be a very capable 4x4 truck and should solve the weight problems. Biggest problem is their cost. So could you please give us all a idea of how you solved the weights problem etc with yours... Thanks in advance...
@exploringoffthegrid2 жыл бұрын
Gday mate, the Isuzu has a GVM of 7.5t, I am usually around the 6.0t fully loaded so have had no issues with with carrying capacities, worth a chat to the guys from All Terrain Warriors as they are answering specifics for these all day long...hope this helps
