30,000lb Hydraulic Winch is what you want on the front of your rig. You will continue to rip through the smaller electric, regardless of brand. You need something that can pull that much with your rig. (Assuming you can find a suitable anchor) . Keep up the good work, you are living my dream.

@alanhat5252 Жыл бұрын
I would worry about the cable sawing through the axles or the cable getting cut on a sharp edge, cables cut through amazingly easily. Also, pulling from the wrong end is unstable, I once had to pull a trailer up a short gentle slope hitched on the wrong end & it took 6 heavy blokes to hold it straight despite pulling really gently. If you've got enough fairleads to guide the cable through that's fair enough but without? I wouldn't want to trust my life to it.

Great vid. With the fuel tanks and jerry cans, you are carrying maybe 350-400 litres. With your fuel consumption of 27l/100km you have a range of say 1200 to 1300km. How far are you from the next fuel stop when you are in the middle of the desert etc. In other words, have you ever come close to running out of fuel?

great build.. yeah i understand you with the amt. for terrain you would like a manual where you can control the revs with precision to get unstuck or not get stuck. same problem automatics got when driving in snow or on ice is its hard to control the power you put down to the wheels. question.. how much got destroyed when it got stuck in that mud. only axles or did it bring some nasty expensive surprise like transfer case or something ??

I have often wondered why more people don't use the Isuzu platform. Most overland vehicles wannabe's seem to obsess with trying to find Mitsubishi Fuso. Do you know why? Is it better? New ones aren't available in the US so an Isuzu seems like a great option. You touched a bit on the Isuzu power, or lack of. Milage? The fancy American touring trucks you mentioned are great and comfy, but the milage is awful (worse than yours). You do a video centered on the Isuzu truck and what models choices there are? I love all the outdoor cooking options you have, that is not common in the states. Great job mate! All the best to you and your family. (sorry, you answered some of these questions at the end, I'm inpatient).

To get anywhere near what the lithiums max at would need a massive alternator upgrade, the setup there looks like it's about maxing out the stock alternator. I've got the stock alternator on mine & if the house batteries are down the belt squeals for up to a second when the charger kicks in, I don't think it would take a bigger alternator.

Your truck is fantastic, well planned and built. Quick question, could you tell me what those fishing rod holders in the canopy are called, you said something about clothes line. I'd like to put the same in our camper truck. Thanks for putting such brilliant content up too.
