This is shallow propaganda criticizing the Canadian PM for backing out on one of his biggest campaign promises that has resulted in the biggest loss of faith in a Canadian political party in years? I don't understand your point. Are you just feeling triggered because someone said the name Trump?
@davidalearmonth8 жыл бұрын
Be prepared for a Trump-style Prime Minister then (in our next election). Our system splits the vote even more than the US does, so we are even more vulnerable. I'd like to think it can't happen here, but we are not immune. The last 2 elections gave all the power to mostly 1 person based on less than 40% of the popular vote. :( I'm going to keep fighting for it. I'm tired of having to vote "strategically", instead of for the candidate / party that best represents what I feel is important.

Why party campaigns are a waste of your time in a nutshell. It's really all empty promises until they get elected and even then it's only a possibility. This speaks for any party, really.
@bobhope52748 жыл бұрын
Abandoning the electoral reform is worst for the Green Party that doesn't have much of a chance under the current system.
@22kitsilano7 жыл бұрын
I haven't forgotten the electoral reform issue either. I am also waiting for some move on reform and regulation in banking, investment and real state, that curtails the laundering of foreign money here and the lack of taxes paid by temporary residents and just through big loop holes in our taxation system. And there is the matter of foreign land ownership, but he hasn't made any promises on that one.. My husband the other day said he'd never voted conservative in his life, but with the way this is going down in Canada lately.....

Can someone make a list or link me to a list of all the promises the Prime Minister has made; kept, made and not kept; and made and is seemingly going to keep. Politicians have always made promises they don't keep. That's nothing new. Justin made a crap load of promises on his campaign website. How many has he outright stated he will no longer do? What logic did he give? I want to understand; I could go with the theme you guys in the other comments are setting. But I dislike quick judgements. So in order to know, weather or not I would vote for Justin in the next election and continue to support him as he is now I would want to know: 1. What promises he has made ALL OF THEM 2. What promises he has kept. 3. What promises he has not kept. 4. What promises he... promises to still keep? 5. The logic/reasoning he gave for promises he has still not kept or plans not to keep. Add onto to that, I would like to know the three things people who currently dislike Justin reason for that dislike. And If Justin has addressed these reasons or given a rebuttal. After all of that; then and ONLY then would I be able to form an opinion on him. That; and how does the above promises kept/promises not kept ratio reflect on past Prime Ministers? Is he keeping more promises than them? Is he giving better reasons than they did when he doesn't keep a promise? How about things he is pushing that he did not promise or address in his campaign. Finally; while I know about the promise he made on Electoral reform, I don't fully understand how the Canadian electoral system works. Isn't it by popular vote like a referendum? Or does it work like America and give all the votes of a province If the majority is won in said province?

Breaking the electoral reform promise is the first thing he did that I agree with. His out of control spending is what we should really be focusing on. mceric Well just listen to him speak. He's said it himself many times, but he's also gay, so he frequently finds himself at odds with "social conservatives", and criticizes them on a regular basis. He's talked about running for leader of the Conservative party. Google his rant about proportional representation, he goes on about the typical leftists.
@mceric56978 жыл бұрын
I just watched his rant on PR and it does not reveal anything about him being a conservative. I really don't believe that he is a conservative. He's from the east coast and works for the CBC. Those two facts scream "LIBERAL". Yet, I would believe you if you could show me where he said he was a conservative.

All the political humor television hosts suddenly made me hate them after Trump won. I used to love Mercer, Colbert, Stewert, Oliver, and anything political humor, left, right, it didn't matter. But then Trump won the election and it's like they all lost their minds. I had to watch this video twice to make sure I understood it correctly. Rick is actually cheering about Trudeau failing on his promises? RIP Canada.

I use to think your rants were fairly educated now Im convinced your just talking..... The only reason low income wage earners can barely make it by are because of high taxes.... this minimum wage increase has nothing do to with government feeling bad for workers its a giant tax scam. You raise wages prices go up...If prices go up then the amount of hst and gst collected also rises and quality of life go down... Minimum wage rising actually means workers are being paid less. Hydro rates are super high yet we have excess electricity going to the states for free. Oil is super cheap but gas prices are the highest they have ever been due to taxes. Coffee is about to go from $1 which is 13 cents in tax to $1.50 19.5 cents in tax becuase minimum wage is increased tooth paste shampoo rent you name it will rise Your $15 a hour wage doing the work of 2 employees becuases businesses cut staff then going home not being able to afford a$30 per plate meal at swiss chatlet is what minimum wage will do not to mention hundreds of thousands of jobs will be lost. Its the smartest way to increase taxes without actually increases the percentage or having anyone notice. Educate yourself on subject mater before creating videos. You owe the public informed knowlegable info unless your paid by the liberals or want to slowly fade into the category of crap journalism.
