Actually, this is pretty good. I am a black dude that has ALWAYS been a Rick Springfield fan. A huge one at that! Glad to see Rick back. He looks really good. He has barely aged, for the most part. I've seen Rick in concert only a few years ago. He can play, he can sing and he can entertain. He also pushes himself on his music. Karma is a great album. Admire his output. Guy can write a hook. This song is great....love the acoustic strip down part as a blend to to the rest of it. You know it's a good song when you wish it was longer. His songs were a soundtrack to my college years. This album is incredible! Seriously Bravfuckingoh!!! “When God forgets my name” and “We Are Eternal” and of course “She walks with angels” all bring tears. Several songs make me dance around the living room like “Automatic!”Honestly, I love every song. I hear a little bit of your entire career in this album. From 70’s til now. It’s also so incredibly current. Keys, synths, guitars…. Ah pure RS brilliance what with your clever arrangements and lyrical prowess. Love the harmonies with Windy Wagner. I recently saw Rick in concert in Niagara Falls Canada… He was amazing!!! Last time I saw him was nearly 40 years ago in Erie Pennsylvania. Would love to have him back in our fair city! I ❤ this song and this video. The lyrics really speak to me. I'm going through TMS treatments for depression and anxiety. So whe Rick writes about the prefrontal cortex,where depression is apparently stored and the defects...... well it really hits home. Rick's music has spoke to me from the time i ran across him at the age of 14. The things I've struggled with and Rick's struggles are very similar... God, religion, sex, rock and roll,depression and angst.... etc... Rick is the most under-rated songwriter ever.
