Even Muslim Quran mentions Israel 43 times , but it does not say anything about Palestine. there are Israel kings who ruled the land of Israel 3000 years ago, King David, King Solomon. there is not even one Palestinian king who ruled this land. Palestine or Israel ? There has never been a palestinian State or people. If there were than Jews who also lived there - just as Arabs - are also "palestinians." The Philistines were an Aegean people - related to the Greeks and with no connection ethnically, linguistically, or historically at all with Arabia - they conquered the Mediterranean coastal plain that is now Gaza in the 12th Century BCE. Israel defeated the Philistines back then and drove them out of Gaza. The name Philistine was much later given to Israel by Roman Emperor Hadrian, who's occupation was responsible for several decrees that sought to crush the National identity and religious spirit of the Jews some time after Roman Emperor Titus smashed the Israeli resistance in the year 70 and took most Israelis with them as slaves to spread them all over their huge Empire. But the Roman Empire disappeared and other occupier's toke over the Land such as the Ottoman (Turkish) Empire and the name Philistine was done away with and they renamed the whole region Syria - until the British became the world power and occupier and it was them to rename the whole region Palestina, that is: Syria, Jordan, Israel, a part of Iraq and a part of Egypt combined. They even imposed “palestine” passports for the inhabitants of the combined region. So ask yourself: where is the evidence that proves that there was an ancient palestinian State? Where are the old scrolls that describes its history - in it mentioned old Kings, old Rulers, old Governments and Government buildings - where are the old cities, old coins, old ruins, old roads, old harbors, even songs ??? THEY CAN’T SHOW ANY OF THESE MENTIONED ARTIFACTS ! Israel on the other hand CAN show MILLIONS of mentioned history and artifacts that PROVE they belong there. And don’t come with the Canaanites as ancestors because Abraham is both the original father of both Jews and Arabs. No, it is islam that doesn't tolerate any other religion in (any) region) which is the root of all conflict. We are waiting for the return of the Lord Yeshua / Jesus to bring about peace.

It's not complicated if you use the Guide Bk (Bible), but you have to use all of it. Now THAT is where the word contentious comes into play. The Hebrew/Aramaic passages end with Nemiah at the time that Darius, Cyrus, Xerxes had supported the Jews' rebuilding of the 2nd Temple and the walls that Nebuchadnezzar had torn down. The Hebrew scriptures were written to prepare the Jews for the Messiah (Ge 3:15--Matthew 3:18, Luke 1:35 2CE; Baptism Mt. 3:17). The Jewish religious leaders, for the most part, (a few exceptions) rejected and hated the Messiah (politics) and sought to kill him from the start. The Greek passages begin with Matthew while Rome is in control, of course. Herod (Edomite) had the (3rd) Temple rebuilt. The Jews rebelled against Rome constantly and finally in 70 CE. What's interesting is that Jesus at Mt. 23rd chapter pronounced woes to the scribes and Pharisees and described the end of Jerusalem and the final end of the Temple and the Priesthood (70 CE) This was the actual end of Judaism. Thereafter the name Israel was struck, hence Palestine. Jesus' death was the Ransom paid foretold at Ge.3:15. Remember, the Bible is prophecy, history, instruction. That Jesus was the Messiah is very clear.

I'm pretty sure neither side wants the other side to stop practicing their religion. So this is not solely based on their religious practices and all very shameful. Why is it so inconceivable for Muslims to live under a Jewish State. It happened the other way around for centuries and I believe it would be better more equitable today. What are you on about? Palestinians are already living under a Jewish state, or to be more precise, a Zionist state. Palestinians in the occupied West Bank can go to Israeli detention centres for the most minor of offences like flying a Palestinian flag. They are subject to Israeli military law, unlike Israelis. They are cut off visiting their friends and family in neighbouring villages. They regularly have to go through checkpoints. They cannot use certain use roads in the West Bank that Israelis can. They aren't even treated like second class citizens,..third or fourth class more like. You tell the occupiers, the Israelis how they should live among the Palestinians. The Palestinians owe Israel nothing.

I forgot to add, the Israeli settlers in the West Bank want prayer times and calls to prayer to cease or at least be restricted, as it apparently disturbs these settlers. Israelis definitely want the other side to stop practicing their religion.

Historically, there's much distrust and animosity between the populations. Israel is surrounded by Muslim countries. So the Muslim minority of today has a lot of powerful allies which all invaded on an Jewish holiday to try to take over but the Israelis won't that particular little war and since then have been very aggressive and paranoid in their defensive policy and being aggressive in expanding and settling because they don't want to take chances. But of course there's a lot of uncalled for violence in the name of safety and security. And you can't expect the Palestinians to take all that lying down. There's then going to be extremists on both sides which make them more aggressively anti other side.

This kingdom was destroyed by the Romans in the destruction of the Second Temple and its inhabitants were exiled outside the borders of the Kingdom of Judah.
