More like a zoo lion who has gotten his taste of freedom and then being asked to walk back into the enclosure. "Be a lion indoors." He lived in the Old World, survived the New World, and is having trouble trusting the Old World again. They just spent weeks on the road after murdering a band of cannibals. Near the point of starvation and dehydration, they had zero trust for Aaron even after vouching his story. They studied this community from the outside and are now getting an inside look. An inside look for an angle, a way to take over... which they do.

deanna was so underrated, she was such a sweet person and good leader by todays standards. sure she may not have been completely equipped for the outside world but as a mediator she was really good at seeing both sides. id have loved to see the interactions she couldve had with ezekiel and negan seeing as she never really communicated with the neighboring communities or dealt with the major human conflicts
@cameronjosephvideos5942 Жыл бұрын
I kind of wish they hadn't killed her off, at least not as early as she was. I just liked the idea of Rick being more of a crisis leader with Deanna taking on the more political role. Frankly it kind of rubbed me the wrong way that Rick was suddenly running the show within weeks of showing up in Alexandria. I think it'd have been interesting to see her and Rick clash over what to do about the Saviors, and how she would have interacted with Negan.
@RickReasonnz Жыл бұрын
It might sound redundant, but Deanna was the leader you think you want in such a situation, but Rick was the leader you absolutely needed. Her idealism was strong, but her naivete made her quite fallible.

It may not be an accurate analysis on my part, but I always took Deana's posture to convey her interest in what Rick had to say, while Rick's said to me that he was telling her the honest truth while also being prepared for the worst. The reason being, she is seated a bit further back on the couch, while Rick is on the edge of his seat. Both want to convey honesty with the other, but only one is truly prepared to respond to a threat, which we can possibly take as a bit of foreshadowing to the end of the season when Deana's way of doing things is proven as flawed and Rick's assessment that Alexandria is unprepared is proven right.

He’s frantic, tense, aggressive and confused, almost repulsed by the trimmings of society and civilization, you can feel the contempt in his words and his movement.
