I think in that moment they were both in shock because they both realized how they had completely flipped since their last meeting, which to me made the reunion all the more sweet. Morgan showed up to help him, if only a little, the same way Rick did in the "clear" episode

This scene actually sums up all the walking dead universe. And Rick is indeed the teacher and leader to these people. this is when Rick Grimes starts building the new world for me. Of course, this is something we need to see when the story ends.

What i find interesting is Rick’s lack of any emotion when he sees Pete kill Reg, it’s like he knew something bad was gonna happen and he was so certain that he didn’t react. But this is likely also due to the fact he’s been through so much, nothing bothers him anymore.

I think it was more of him knowing that his point will literally be proven right now without him having to keep explaining and trying to win them over, he is just gonna let it happen and his "coldness" to it is more of a "I told you, now you'll see"

*Spoiler* A quite underrated scene I would like you to cover is in Season 2 where Shane - - - - - - Kills otis and maybe the aftermath of that when he has his funeral, some of Jon's finest acting as Shane it's a blessing and a curse he died as early as he did, though he remembers his time fondly

I'd love to watch the episode where Michonne and Negan talk when he is locked up and is trying to get on her nerves and she just YEETED his plate. When Rick and michonne are talking about them becoming leaders together. When they are looking for guns to give the garbage people to fight along. Carol and Daryl talk inside her little house about the saviors and he lies about everyone being fine. I feel like she knows he is bs-ing her but doesn't want to see it.

The lesson about authority I learned from Frostpunk, that can be applied to some situations in the Walking Dead: If, as a leader, you have no choice but to use drastic measures or estabilish a reign of terror, that's because you weren't good enought, and it can't be justified by anything else than your own failure to resolve issues in a better way. What's your opinion on that?
@dakotavanleer3859

I think that is true of a number of leaders and villians on the show trying to rule through fear and terror and drastic measures because they lack the abillty to properly rule.
