BY my eye....Canucks have to simply attack in pairs in the Oilers zone when they do choose to do so and use give-and-goes more so their arrival times @ the net are correctly synched. Perimeter shots hoping for tips a bit to much is not working and is actually to low % of a shot choice for how loosely you are managing possessions, if you want to keep vollying the puck back and forth looking for errors you have to at least get it to the net with a slim chance of scoring on your first shots.....stop just accepting rebounds off of perimeter shots, is to predictable, especially if you keep vollying it away remember 30% of those possessions have to be skated to the net or you will never draw a call, and skated to the net with the intention of scoring not just doing drive-bys. Pickards a Journeyman but youstill have to get closer than the perimeter and stuff a few pucks past him and challenge him with wraparounds and variety,stop making it so easy.

It literally feels like they just playing hot potato out there. They all so afraid to hold onto the puck and when they do pass, its not great passes at all and gets intercepted. We do way to many cross ice passes, which coughs up the puck most times. If it actually gets thru the other person just ends up holding it for too long deciding on what to do. Mikheyev can do everything but score, literally has stone hands. Juulsen played well, but I didn’t like that one play that lead to a 2 on 1 with less than a minute left in the 2nd period.

They were lucky to win game 1 and very lucky to win game 3. They earned their luck, but over the course of a series luck evens out. Off the post and in last night. Nuge had a post in game 1 that would have sealed the deal we had 4 posts last game. Switch goal tenders and this series is over already! Fair play to the Canucks, they are way ahead of where anyone thought they would be and have home ice advantage for the best of 3. But let's call it what it is. They are riding a great Goalie and good luck! GO OILERS!
