@SirWinstonBeech6 жыл бұрын
Yeahbut... Wakeman has like umpteen keyboards, Lord just has his classic B3+Marshall stack. Wakeman owns perhaps the best known Hammond solo in the world (Roundabout). Lord was simply a shredding machine. He himself said he did his solos in one take because it was never as good the second time around. Rick strikes me as more of the college boy and Jon is an animal. Room for both at the top. This jam kicks ass. Wish I could find the DVD without paying an arm and a leg but it's OOP.

@Captain Meemo did you actually say today's music ? How dare you call it music, it's processed shit. Calling today's rhythmic nonsense music is like calling a tv dinner a gourmet meal. Music in 70's people actually played. Today is shit on toast
@hannesw84364 жыл бұрын
@@phillatella6470 Mainstream music in the '70s was definitively more complex, but the fact that modern mainstream radio music is becoming very simple is a product of modern technology opening up music to a very big market. People can find what they want on streaming sites on demand. Music just doesn't make the same amount of money as before and therefore mainly large pop artists will be these labels' money makers. If you look beyond radio music though there's are more bands than ever that are willing to do something more complex and interesting! Looking at artists/bands in the prog rock direction that have released in the last 5 years off the top of my head there is Steven Wilson, Plini, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and so on. That's for a genre that (sadly) has gone fairly out of fashion. If you expand to alternative rock it's almost impossible to start, so I think it's worth seeing the good as well as the bad with it all. I for sure wish more people today outside of the music sphere would be open to other music though, so they could appreciate absolute masterpieces like this one!
