Me and mum had the privilege to meet Rick three times in the central hall in Chatham… she absolutely loved Rick with he’s stories and would play he’s music over and over again…. So I decided to have this for my dear mums funeral 6th January 2021….. this was her favourite song not only by David’s but by Ricks too…. Rest in peace mum x

It’s been a long time since Rick Wakeman held a concert in my hometown in Italy (I think it was in 2018 as this video). A great concert! He also played this version of Life on Mars...I was speechless...amazed! After the concert I went backstage to buy his last CD and talked with him... he is a wonderful person. I immediately complimented him for the concert and for this really amazing version of Life on Mars! Thank you David and Rick for this wonderful song!

About 300 years ago, some Italian geezer had a crazy idea. "Let's turn a harp on its side, put it in a box and hit it with hammers connected to a harpsichord keyboard. I expect some bloke will manage to knock a tune out of it some day." And now we have players of the talent and skill of Rick Wakeman.

I've only just found out that Rick played piano on this song - what an incredible pairing! This rendition of it is perfect, not overplayed (which Rick could obviously do if he wanted to).

I used *_Yes Song_* ... paradigmatic. Fine sound, lovely engineering, good craft all'round. (Oh, and *_"Girl from Ipanama"_* to showcase Shure V-15 type 3 ... _sssssibilants,_ you know?) 🙂 god bless / stay well / thanks muchly for the sanity! *_W^B_*

I now live in Perth Western Australia and still have strong ties with Lincoln. My question is, do you have a DVD available of the entire Lincoln concert? If so, I would love to obtain a copy. I can send payment via PayPal. I look forward to hearing from you. In the meantime, have a happy, healthy and safe Christmas and New Year. Take care, David.
