"I've been associated with the company for thirty-six years. Yes, I must have met them when I was about five." Such deadpan. I would love to have a pint with Mr. Rick Wakeman.

Don’t they just! Back in 74 it was, I was introduced to Yes by a good friend who was a potter trying to teach me the arcane skills of throwing a well balanced pot. We were on a little farm north of auckland and he had a very good stereo which he’d crank up to crescendo volumes. Ricks organ had a distinct effect on the locals Great memories Great days - and I learnt the art of the pot.

ARW tour was fantastic! Rick’s array of keyboards and sequencing throughout was stellar and magical and full of “how did he do that” moments. Recapturing the essence of all the vintage gear he used to use was there, and it’s cool to get a peek that it was done on a Korg. Of course, the Moog cannot be replaced by anything!

My first Yes concert, February 1974, TFTO tour, I recall watching Rick Wakeman and getting so freaked out (with a bit of a buzz back then) fingers going at the speed of sound on the keys, a bust of Ludwig Von on his piano, and laughing and enjoying himself immensely. It was so surreal, I thought I must be tripping. Saw about every Yes tour since, except Drama ( which I would loved to have seen), AWBH, union tour, and the first 2 Wakeman tours. This is a classic maestro, and a bit of a humorist. I am so psyched to see ARW in 2 weeks at the Keswick, with awesome seats. So I'm really trying not to watch any Yes videos, listen to their music, especially look at any playlists. Not like my days of my youth. I want this to keep my ears fresh, make this a totally new experience and enjoy every minute of this upcoming concert. Not even hardships were going to prevent me from going and I was so fortunate when the folks at the Keswick notified me that a bunch of tickets for this show opened up. Not even a a delay. Not even an option. 3 of my favorites from Yes (of course Chris would make 4) that I can't wait to see and hear. Thank you Korg for sharing this!

Rick’s been the staple diet of most of us old keyboard diehards, from his trip to Space (Oddity), his Journey To The Centre Of The Earth, hanging around with King Arthur and his blokes around the table, to today’s stuff, and he is still one of my favourites. The biggest surprise so far is that he doesn’t have a ‘Sir Rick Wakeman’ title as yet. Goes to show you that King Arthur didn’t even pull strings for anyone. Shame on you Arfur! I’ve met a LOT of musicians over the many many years I’ve been alive, from Mike Oldfield and Kate Bush (I know them well), but as yet....Rick eludes me.

Both keyboards together have given me more fun and enjoyment. I mainly use KN 7000 to play at VA as a volunteer. The people there do enjoy my stuff. I’m not going to forget anytime soon when Rick was a cover artist for the December 2002 issue of Keyboard Magazine. One of the sub articles in that issue showed his on stage arsenal, which did plenty to emphasize for me how devoted he was to the Korg product line.
