Rick was one of my favorite djs I miss the good ole rave scene from Orlando down to Miami . Florida definitely had the vibe from big event to warehouse raves 😵💫😵💫😵💫

I want to say hi to all of you , I live in Orlando now but during CYBERZONE I lived in Buffalo NY we had CLUB E . Very similar in fact almost the same scene and also in my home town of Casablanca , Morocco LE CAVALIER nightclub . ALL 3 were similar and 3 are long gone , best scenes were the 90's and early 2000's , glad I found this video by accident CYBERZONE today is a Chinese restaurant today , CLUB E is now an office for insurance company and LE CAVALIER is now a fancy Italian restaurant. By the way there was a raid at CLUB Ein Buffalo NY and LE CAVALIER in Casablanca , Morocco was also raided just like CYBERZONE from what I heard. I wish I would gone to CYBERZONE and I know I would of love it just like I loved CLUB E and LE CAVALIER .

I clubbed all over Fl during the magical years of 97-02 and also experienced clubs in NY, ATL, LA, Vegas, and even Ibiza in 00 and although they had breakbeat it was not the same in energy. Hun I'm very sure the clubs you mentioned were off the chain but to not experience cyberzone, firestone, turtle, soulrayz, etc. in all their glory during a festival or like new years it's hard to make a blind comparison because you knew when you were raving at these places that this was a very special time that no other place on earth could lay claim too.
@99waterlife9 жыл бұрын
+Mark&Stephanie Silcox Hello , how are you , thanks for the response , interesting response about the vibe and energy . i just wish I could have experience it . How long was Cyberzone been opened ? What used to be there before Cyberzone ? By the way the beautiful crystal chandelier is still there on the ceiling when we go to the Chinese place ( Wild rice ) I was told by a couple of friends of mine who used to go there at Cyberzone . Le Cavalier nightclub in Casablanca had a special type of vibe with so many different DJ'S such as bad boy Bill , DJ Tiesto and Scribles as well as DJ Ali Baba and DJ youssef and many more from other countries , an amazing rave club , the bathrooms had weight scales , every Saturday people could win cash !!! there was either a trivia night , a dance competition , a hot body competition , the luck of the wheel , a comedy competition and a fashion competition , it was by far the best rave club / nightclub in all of Morocco ! Today as I said it is a upscale Italian restaurant called " La citta di Napoli " the only thing that is the same are the doors , everything else has been completely changed inside and out . Good times back the day the true real ravers that we were . Today's raves is not the same , I no longer do that but I certainly have a great memories I shall never forget
@angeldust430919 жыл бұрын
Just a vibe that was special to Florida especially locals just like I'm sure in Morocco there was a special vibe to locals that most people never really got to know on short week spurts on vacation. As for cyberzone I don't know what it was before and refuse to eat at the fried rice place only because I want my memories to always be purely cyberzone memories. No fwied wice to mix with those beans. And although I love me some tiesto....err well earlier tiesto and the like I preferred rolling on florida breaks with an emphasis on djs from orl or tampa/ybor
@99waterlife9 жыл бұрын
+Mark&Stephanie Silcox I remember just like yesterday the green Kangoros beans we had , fucking amazing beans rolling so hard core and free spirited and one night bang the fucking Casablanca Metro police busted the club , I was so scared I had 10 pills in me , me and a couple of friends went out the back emergency door and jetted out ! We made it but unfortunately many have been arrested . It was a major drug bust at le Cavalier , there were cops everywhere , it was all over the local news , one of them was one of my best friends , he did one year in jail . Le Cavalier was shut down but opened it again 3 weeks later , thugs try to take it over , there was a stabbing and the club got shut down again and reopened but in January of 2001 it was permanently closed . I have some great memories there even with all the crazy stuff that happened there . I went to Casablanca , Morocco and we went to La Cita di Napoli and I said I am not going in this place !!! I refused my cousins were shocked . so we went to another restaurant , I told them I will never set foot in that place again , too many great memories there . The place looks so much different than when it was a le Cavalier rave club .

While my partying days are long over, I still love the music. I'm not sure how the scene is these days, but from 1999-2004 in NC, SC, you could find a decent local weekly anywhere you went and there wasn't a weekend that passed without a ridiculous party in Raleigh, Charlotte, Greenville SC, Myrtle Beach. Wilmington. I was lucky enough to see Rick West a couple of times, along with Jackal & Hyde, Merlyn, Baby Anne, Infinity, Sharaz, B.L.I.M., Rennie Pilgrem, Exzakt, Draco, Sploo, Icey, Friction & Spice. Debbie D, and dozens more. A different time, a different place, but definitely some of the best memories ever.

"The scene" is a popular culture reenactment these days it isnt NOTHING like then but then again I'm almost 40 now so my whole mentality is different.
