Wow! so glad i checked my emails and caught the last few minutes of this! my absolute favorite modern guitarist hanging out with the Beato! made my day seeing two amazing musicians hanging out together and sharing it. love hearing your influences and who's music inspires you to play. his story with his dad and country picking is great. i've got a similar experience (but no dad). i was at a little guitar store in small town North Carolina (outside my Marine Base), and i was ripping through Death's Crystal Mountain when this old guy came up with an acoustic and thought what i was playing was really cool. must have been 75 years old. so he sits down and asks me to show him the riff. (and i'm a pretty arrogant, young Marine Megadeth head at the time) i'm like there is no way this old guy's gonna be able to play this on that acoustic. so i show him the riff, and he shreds through this wild bluegrass version of the riff that completely blows my mind, is about twice as many notes, and was completely incomprehensible to me how he did it! it was insane. he definitely did that on purpose! it was probably the classiest thing that happened to me at a guitar store.

@EricJaegerMusic5 жыл бұрын
@NoiseFeedMusic I dont like associating with emo, punk, etc. I like metal. But I discovered A7x before I saw their previous image. but honestly labels were pushing that image heavy in the early 2000s, and new bands getting signed onto labels are gonna listen so they can make money. trivium and avenged sevenfold both had that emo lookin era. they grew out of it, and now we got things like The Stage. When listening to their interviews they are just like us, or me at least. we love our traditional heavy metal, we grew up on thrash metal, maiden, metallica, megadeth etc. they arent screamo kids
