Conga Lesson #2 Ostinato Studies

Here is Conga lesson #2.
I am using the same open handed technique I described in Conga Video #1. This technique will preserve your hands if you play a lot of other types of percussion that requires finesse .
This lesson teaches you how to improve your coordination, technique and endurance through the use of 3 different right handed ostinatos.
The exercises incorporate several rhythmic pages from my book Advanced Coordination for Drum Set and Hand Percussion. Those pages are shown briefly at the end of the video.

I have only one conga drum. Do you have some tips on how i can develop my studies on congas?

Are you taking lessons? It would really help if you studied with an experienced player. Congas is one of the percussion instruments that is difficult to learn correctly on your own.
