I can hear why the song composer chose the ride/bell drum groove. It propels the main groove and counters it a bit. Also, all the other hi-hat grooves are akin to typical drum machine grooves. What I struggled with was the punch of the snare. I wanted to hear a softer and more buzzy snare w. ghost notes to better play off the ride/bell pattern. I also wouldn't have come up w. that groove either! Very fun and informative video! Thank you!
