This is a demo / quick review of the Scarbee Rickenbacker bass that comes with Native Instruments Komplete. I mostly just browse through presets and improvise some lines while occasionally sharing my opinions on it. It's not meant to be an exhaustive review or anything.

I am a bassist. Just so happen to play a rick mainly. The plugin sounds great! Nothing beats actually playing it, but with some super tedious programming this thing can SOUND as good.

I just founder a freelancer who's going to help me improve my VST cover of REM's End of the World and he's using the Rickenbacker VST for the bass and the guy who I hired is an REM fan himself so he knows how to make my cover sound even better!

Sounds great. Definitely more bass-like using the legato functions, but even so you could still probably slip it by the Authenticity Police in a mix. You sell yourself short as a bassist. You play bass better than some bassists, and most guitarists. I would be interested to hear if you can modulate the signal from your P-bass through this plug-in.

Great tutorial!! One question, is there a way to avoid hammer-ons and pull-offs everytime i play legato or fast consecutive notes?? Because that hapenned everytime. I couldnt solve. Thanks.

Sounds very very close to the real 4001 bass, played with a pick. Nice demo but please forgive me, as a Rickenbacker 4003 owner I must tell you a Rickenbacker does not sound even close to a subby Precision, and as expressive as this plugin may be, you can make the real thing even more expressive with your hands.

@@ahiddenoddity AHAHAH sorry that was TOTALLY NOT my point, I see how I got misunderstood though. I was just trying to say that soundwise, there are quite big differences in sound spectrum between a Precision and a Rickenbacker, and these are still the reasons why Rickenbackers are sold, but I was not trying to brag about owning one, rather saying that it MIGHT be a nicer thing to pay for a session player than a plugin. You know, hard times. It's very nice work you're doin' here, man, keep it up!
