That's how it's done! I've been meaning to do that for years. Gonna send through some wild effects and add some live finger drumming etc. You are very special!

The patch cable in the front, are you using ts or trs cable? Many people say should use trs and xlr cable to reduce electrical buzz and noise if use patch bay

I would imagine Guitar>ColorBox>Grandmother might be nice.

do you know if there's a way to sync the LFO of the CS70M to an external clock?

It is a classic Rocker. Sounds like you have the plectrum option? I own it, the PreBass, and MM. Thomas Skarbye is a consummate musician and VI creator.

Love you for this brother. I do have a quick question about the XLR patchbay and pro d2. I’m sure I’m just not connecting this in my brain but I really want clarification so let’s say I have a sm7b mic running into a cloudlift and I want to run it through a bunch of effects or say a compressor; is this how it goes? Mic > cloudlift > xlr patchbay > pro d2 > trs patchbay > input of compressor on trs patchbay > output of compressor on trs patchbay > input of interface on trs patchbay > out of trs patchbay to interface input I know this may be backwards but this is how I’m thinking of it. If you or anyone else have any insight you can share I would greatly appreciate it.

If the output is connected to the patch bay then it’s not connected to your mixer so how do you hear the synth? Sorry it’s a bit confusing

Hello! Just bought Ribn for iPhone and wanted to say thanks for writing such an elegant app. It strikes a great balance of functionality vs complexity that so many apps get wrong all the time. Ribn feels opinionated and well thought all around. In case you ever consider shipping an update I’d suggest these improvements for your consideration that hopefully won’t compromise the app vision: 1) Landscape mode. Sometimes I just want to control one or two ribbons and would value using the whole length of the screen for precision. 2) Swap/shuffle ribbons around. As opposed to having to manually move CC, name and colour. 3) Find a way for the screen to not go dim and the phone to get locked if you’re not touching the UI. I’ve seen apps doing this. 4) Two or three extra colours. Hope it all makes sense and thanks again!

They all sound fake to me. I'm yet to hear a sampled piano in Kontakt that sounds real, a real piano has the sounds blending together because of sympathetic resonance which even Modart's modeling software doesn't get right, despite its claim to have it.

I was really glad to discover this video. I don't have the skills to test these pianos myself. From your tests it seems that Maverick is very tailored to pizzicato type playing. In contrast Alicia's Keys seems to lend itself to more flowing pieces. I like the full body of Noire. Grandeur seems like a generic grand piano. Gentleman has a very friendly tone, and probably would be good for demos, songwriting and pop playing. Una corda and The Giant are niche players that have their place. I would be interested in your take on the pianos and e-pianos in IK Multimedia's Sampletank 4.
