Breakthrough moment for me was at 1:46:10 when Sara said "Taking responsibility means meeting your needs". I have had long COVID/MECFS/POTS for 2+ years now and have slowly had to "take responsibility" to the dismay or misunderstanding of others. Hearing Sara say that brought tears to my eyes. I need more Sara Kuburic content.

But there's only a few I havent turned off after 20-45min because the conversation ALWAYS goes into him playing 'therapist' with the guest and it's obnoxious and not entertaining. The ones where he doesnt do that I quite enjoy.

my bpd diagnosis changed my life. it was overwhelming at first bc i already have other neuro divergent disorders, but it let me finally understand why i experienced emotions so much more intensely than my peers. among other very difficult and disruptive day-to-day ways of being and thinking. if you'd told me back then (3 years ago) that one day i'd be able to feel an emotion without it completely taking over me and ruining my day or week or totally shame spiraling, i never would have thought it was possible. diagnoses can def be dangerous for some but for me the diagnosis, followed by continuous cbt and DBT, is the only reason I'm a functional sometimes happy sometimes neutral sometimes sad not stuck in the black-and-white person.

Been married for 12 years now and we almost never compromise by finding middle ground when we disagree. 99% of the time we go with what the other wants, sometimes her, sometimes me, we don't keep score. That is compromise to us. It's like when you were young and with friends you split the bill or keep track of how much everyone owes you or you owe them. Eventually as an adult that turns into just taking turns covering the bill and not keeping track of who and how much. In my experience and opinion, in a relationship you can't do tit for tat, it will not last.

Im only an 1:25 in but I have to say that at first I was stressed out that the dynamic of the two guests would be off because one is a comic the other a doctor and I thought there wouldn’t be a connection amongst the three, but not only is this the chemistry perfect but I find myself feeling like I’m part of Ricks family. Certain guests, especially Adam, and these two, make me feel like I am apart of a family that not only gets each other but expresses that affection exactly how I would ant my family to. Everyone is there own person but they all participate in a love language that is making jokes and laughing

Day one TYSO Goblin here. I rarely sign in to leave a comment, but I had to. Rick, I love Sara and Jordan as a guest. I watched Sara's episode several times. I have to go to sleep with a podcast playing and I chose that one many times, it resonated with me deeply. I'm going through the most difficult time in my life. It's complicated, but I'm in an age gap relationship, long distance, and her parents found out about me and forbid her from talking to me. Everything was amazing between us. Then in a brief moment, destroyed. She was truly my dream I've always had. I visited her recently and it was, for the both of us, the best time of our lives. We were making plans for the next time. I'm in a waiting stage now and it's so difficult. She's my best friend, we talked every day, and then gone in an instant. I'm often by myself, I'm hypersensitive, I deal with anxiety, existential angst about mortality and the concept of time, so its exponentially more difficult for me than someone who isn't. By no means am I comparing myself to someone else in any other area of the world going through much worse. But, we are living our own journey, and feeling heartbreak is real and should be acknowledged. I envisioned being with her for the rest of my life, evolving, growing, together. I'd do anything to make it work. It's just so difficult to not know how she is doing, is she safe or not, etc. These podcasts are just a chance for me to breathe, and to not feel so alone in my emotions and thoughts, and I'm deeply appreciative of them.
