Rather than replying to comments below, I thought I'd share my own thread. I spend an insane amount of hours watching guitarists like this, and I have to say, hands down, that every time I watch Rick Graham my jaw is on the floor....that doesn't happen very often when you are a guitar junkie like me. I'm talking talent that is rarely seen....I just don't know how to quantify this guy. He is unreal. The end.

I see your wink, so I know you are just having fun, but want to say anyway that I highly doubt Joe wouldn't actually love hearing this, I sure would if I were him. Covering someones material is truly the purest form of flattery. And from everything I've heard about Joe from the few students of his I know, he's a very amicable, humble, and genuine person. My second biggest regret as a musician was missing out on taking lessons from him (first was watching drugs and egos tear apart the two bands I was in that had great chances of becoming popular in more than just my home state). But a friend of mine told me about Satriani when I was still a kid, and I actually used to hang out in the same music store before that searching for classical and jazz sheet music to transpose. Seriously, I could even hear him giving lessons downstairs and saw him a few times between lessons talking to his students, though at the time I had no idea who he was. He put out Not of This Earth around this time, but by the time I got ahold of that cassette, Surfing came out a couple of weeks or so later and I could never have afforded his lessons after that. Anyway, keep your ears open people... *sometimes you never know who is giving lessons in your local music store until it's too late.*
