I’m 30 + years listening to Satraini, and if I’m honest he’s always frustrated me. He writes wonderful tunes, but generally comes up short on the solo’s. His tune ‘teardrops’ being a prime example. You turned a good tune, into a superb tune. 🤘
@Tramaineguitar8 ай бұрын
Thank you! 🙏🏼 yeah I somewhat see where you’re coming from. But when Satch does hit it on the head, he certainly hits it on the head 🤘🏼
@meLg0rd0n8 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's not frustrating, but sometimes, you kinda feel something's missing in his solos. This is perfection.
@RotormanMTB5 ай бұрын
I too have been listening to Satriani for 30+ years and I agree.. frustrated.. but in an inspired way. It's all good and all to say its lacking or come up short (which i disagree with your assessment but all good - this rendition is sensational also).. but the genius with Satch isn't just the "shred"... he's the master at song writing and melody. NO One.. and I mean NO ONE can do melody like Satch.. at least from all of my time on this earth (50) I've yet to see\hear someone better.

Covering a Joe Satriani song well is a feat by itself. Above and beyond that, you’ve managed to weave in and out of his style against your own, with an almost fluid nature. Can you share the secret to your sound? I mean the moment around 4 minutes. This characteristic beautiful scream, with a wavy sound, can also be heard in your other songs. Is this a real-time wah pedal or does this variable phase happen automatically (a type of effect)? Of course, I understand the manual issues that result in a given sound.
@Tramaineguitar8 ай бұрын
Sometimes I use the wah pedal for the tone more than the wah effect, and this is a good example of that. So I’ll not sweep the pedal much and stay around the ‘middle’ of the pedal’s sweep (if that’s what it’s called). Satch does this sometimes, and Vai, but I mainly got it from Gus G (wether it was intentional or not from him)
@alinoe36048 ай бұрын
