Oh, Daniel! I probably should just skip responding to you!!!! LOL. Buddy, you have been literally and figuratively at my side for what...10-12 years? It seems like yesterday that you were helping me with Photoshop and printing. Keep up your own great work.

Thanks, Rick. Really great 'how-to'. I know that as my techniques for diorama bases have evolved, I've forgotten some of the older, tried and true tricks I had success with in the past - perhaps it's old age, but... In any case, it's great to see others' work, and be reminded of them, as well as shown new ones...

Thanks for watching! Let's just call them "classic" techniques!!! thanks again.

Very nice video & dio Rick, gun & groundwork look great! Time & effort paid off, I echo what you say about using oils👌 I’m sure you’re aware of those heated wire foam cutters. I got one a while ago from Amazon, about £15 & was well worth it - keeps those fingers intact🖐😄
@RickLawlerPropaganda3 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy. Yea, I'm aware of the hotwire cutters. We used large-scale CNC hotwire cutters in my business, but I'm just too lazy to get one for myself. Maybe it's about time?

When making your base, what’s the easiest way for you to cut against the grain? A saw? I always make such a mess of making the balsa wood base
@undeadichi3 жыл бұрын
i would imagine with balsa wood it would be a fine tooth saw, or if its thin enough a sharp knife
@RickLawlerPropaganda3 жыл бұрын
I just used a sharp blade here, scored it a few times and then gave it a crack. Thicker balsa I use a fine saw.
