Lake Sinclair is one of the few campgrounds we haven't visited here in Georgia yet. I think we'll spend a couple of nights there this winter. It looks pretty nice. Thanks for showing. Happy new year!

Thank you for the review. Would be a good place if the state parks are full. The bathroom looks like someone was living in there, though. 😮

I think the host was fostering, a dog or cat in there. Some people just can’t say no to animals.

It's been 24 years since I visited Georgia. Mostly Lake Lanier area. I remember red clay and fire ants. Thanks for the campground tour!

There’s still a lot of that. But it’s a big state, lots of beautiful areas.

Enjoyed the video. I just wondered why you don’t use the shower in the camper?
@GoingNoWhereFast13 күн бұрын
I have used it. But I’m not a huge fan of navy showers and cramp quarters. If the Campground has decent showers, I’ll use them. I paid for them. Why waste my hot water and have to empty my tanks and clean the bathroom in my camper versus let them do it.

Hi Rick! Kinda reminds me of a Moter 6 of Campgrounds... Maybe that's not fair, but the Shower Bldg was Yucky!!
@GoingNoWhereFast20 күн бұрын
I assume you meant a motel six of campgrounds. Pretty minimal. The host wasn’t too involved in the Campground. They came around at 10 o’clock at night to check the sites were ready for the weekend. We’d already gone to bed and they woke us up, looking for trash in the fireplaces.. It’s good for a one night stop

The one critter I’m a bit skiddish about are spiders. They have too many eyes and too many legs.

@JamesRobertSmith20 күн бұрын
The mountains of NC historically get lots of snow, along with cold temperatures. My state used to support thriving ski resorts. But we don't have what used to be normal winters here anymore. Heck. In Decatur GA as a kid (1964 through 1969, ages 7 through 11) I got plenty of use out of my snow sled. Now, it makes National news if even a trace of snow shows up in the Atlanta area.

Does the camp host not clean the bathrooms. I thought that was part of their job.
@GoingNoWhereFast16 күн бұрын
No, the camp host does not clean the bathrooms. They just make sure the sites are good and call the district if there are need repairs in the bathrooms or the electric post or anything like that. The bathrooms are cleaned by contractors who don’t know what they’re doing

I tent camped there about 10 yrs ago, tied my small bass boat to a tree limb at my water front site. It wasn't until I got home and was unpacking my gear out of my boat when I saw him, a water moccasin coiled up under the steering console. Don't know how long he had been in there, I swatted at him with a broom handle, he lunged, I ran, when I came back he was nowhere to be seen, I searched through the boat a dozen times before I felt good enough about taking it back out, never saw him again good riddance.
