Looking for a place for a week in October. Any idea how the bugs and weather at that time of year? Nice to see there’s no leash laws for my pup on the trails too! Thanks in advance
@GoingNoWhereFast5 сағат бұрын
Bugs aren't bad in October. If it gets really warm and wet for a week you may see a few, but nothing like during the hot dry summer days of July! And you are supposed to have your dog on leash. We just take a few liberties when there is no one around to bother.

I like the Aliner Expedition for the sleeping space but not for their built in ducted AC which has poor reviews. Considering the smaller Ranger 12 w/ couch + dinette bc of the window AC.

The new A/c under the bed is not the same as they had the last couple of years (Cool Cat) It might be much better. Though the smaller the better if your comfortable in it.

Me again, see comment below. I just returned from a short, 3 night camping/mtn biking trip to Lake Russell. Last year, while watching this video, I'd made a note of the sites you recommended and I ended up taking #20. Fairly level site, very quiet, shaded and just a short walk up to the bathouse. My final day of riding was over to Camp Toccoa and up Mt. Currahee. Such history. Thanks for your campground reviews! Be Safe!

Ingersol Rand bought S&S corp in 1976 to further their mining interests. It didn't take them long to put it out of business by 1987. I have found that their management of Trane Air Conditioning must be following the same path. Glad you got out before it went downhill.
@GoingNoWhereFastКүн бұрын
I think TRANE was origiinally "Ingersoll Rand Technologies", the SEC Says they changed their name to separate them from the parent "Ingersoll Rand PLC". Looks like in the past 10 years they have concentrated on mergers and acquisitions to boost up their balance sheet. But their main business is still in air compressors.

@GoingNoWhereFastКүн бұрын
Some, but it seems like its road dependent. Some of the heavy used Interstates have low spots where the tractor-Trailers run. I doubt its any better or worse than any other trailer, but it is noticable. I did have a collision with a Tractor Trailer going up I-77 to get here. That will be on a future video when I get the damage fixed. It just damaged the awning.

Hey, Rick! That's a shame about your awning, because that's gonna cost a small fortune to replace the entire roller assembly AND the fabric. Too bad you didn't capture it (somehow) on video, so you could get the trucking company to pay for the damages. Not 100% certain, but the name "Cowanesque" is probably named after someone named COWAN. It's probably pronounced COWAN-esk. Take care!
@GoingNoWhereFastКүн бұрын
If I can get my son to help me install the new Roller/awning set up, should be just under $500. And I think its an Indian word, but I bet someone named Cowan is probably telling his friends its his lake....lol

You mean instead of the fiberglass reinforcement. You would have to have a really skilled plate bender to fit it on, and the trailer does "Flex" a bit when I go off roading with it. So cost, ease of repair, and final quality say probably not.

Looks like both parks met all of Akela’s requirements. His rating system seems to include the ratio of sticks to trails. But one good stick is all that matters.
