Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel! This KZbin channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf equipment reviews, golf instruction & I play against some of the best golfers in the world!
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

I respect the request for Bogey Sauce, sometimes a bogey can feel like a birdie when the hole goes wrong. Well done on those occasions Guy!!
@Bbfishman
@Bbfishman 4 ай бұрын
that mentality actually says a lot about his ability to stay positive. how many people would lose their tee shot, take a drop for a 2 stroke penalty so that they're hitting their 4th shot after losing their ball....then he lands it close to the pin and has a bogey putt in that scenario. i know i would look at that situation with frustration that i had to take a drop and i ruined my chance for a par....but he actually looked at it like it deserved celebration with the "birdie sauce" in the edit even for the bogey. thats a really important part of the mentality to keep when you're playing, and i have definitely not trained myself to approach it that way yet. that was pretty impressive to me

@@xcm69420 It's also frustrating when someone who consistently shoots in the mid to high 70s moans and whines about every shot that doesn't go in like he's having the worst/unluckiest day in years, but is actually like every single other round he plays. I was happy to see him narrate holes 2 and 3 instead of all that; a very good change.

Hey Ricker, I too have struggled with being overly frustrated while struggling through a tough round of golf. I was able to change my attitude simply by reminding myself that the peeps I’m playing with don’t care how I play, but they do care how I act. That has let to me enjoying each and every round regardless of my score. I understand in your situation things aren’t that simple as people are critical of you when you play poorly. It’s unfortunate because anyone who loves golf has gone through times where we don’t play well. Maybe for you’ll connect with the ole Dr. Seuss saying, “Be who you are and say what you feel because those that matter don’t mind and those that mind don’t matter.” I enjoy watching your content and am looking forward to better and more enjoyable days ahead. Cheers!

Honestly, it feels like people think Rick is being negative… but I think they’re mistaking to for getting in the zone and getting serious. Rick plays positive when he’s trying to play positive… usually when he’s possitive, he doesn’t do that great compared to what he’s capable of. When Rick is in the zone, even when Guy might just be having fun… Rick does seem negative but he seems to do better. I don’t blame him for being this way. There’s a time to be positive and there’s a time to be serious. Way to go Rick, nice rounds.

Its cause we're here for an entertainment product - so if the product isn't entertaining i.e. Rick is just whining about not getting more birdies, yeah there's going to be complaints. (ignoring the haters that will hate anyway) Like from the tone of the video, I never would have guessed he had a good round and broke 75 - it felt like a low 80's round. Which is difficult; because of course he has high expectations and wants to get better but it has been coming at a price lately. But like, with the score of this video, it really comes down to him choosing to be more positive to make a better video anyway. Cause at the end of the day, he gets to share generally really good golf with us, at the best courses in the world, and the bad shots that everyone has, takes way too much focus away from the feeling of just enjoying playing golf - which is what most of us are here for

@soldieroftheway7979

Maybe the fact that you're looking for a yt video to "help the depression" is the reason you're depressed. Seriously that is a sad way to live life, expecting someone else to "cheer you up". And you want to play golf but age is catching up? You do know that there's 85 yr old people out there playing every single day, and some didn't start until they were 80, there's no excuse. If you're sad then get up off your couch and go out and do something about it, stop expecting other people to cheer you up that's how you got in this mess to begin with. The game of golf can literally save your life, but you have to get out and play, you have to get out and do something. It's called self-esteem, nobody can give you that that's why it's called SELF-esteem, honestly stop being a baby and go live life, get off your ass and do something that makes you proud. Whether it's smoking a drive down the fairway or walking a half-mile further than you did yesterday, you have to get out and do something. What do you think God will say at the end when you've done nothing and your excuse was "oh sorry I was depressed". You think He gave you life for that?

Guy, you played great the first part. As I was watching I think I see where your paddy push may be coming from because I have had the same problem. Check it out but I think that, when you’re taking your club back, your club is actually underneath your swing plane and - because it is underneath - when you transfer to the downswing you are forced to push your hands out and away causing an over the top club path that works across the ball. I am not a pro, and not a coach and obviously you likely get a bunch of criticism in the comments but I saw that and recognized it from my own game and hopefully it can help you just get some more consistency in your strike. Keep crushing it mate. If it helps, give us a shout out in the podcast😜

I enjoyed the edit saving us from some of the negative drama- I think this style will be good going forward. Nice

It was really nice of Guy to let his stunt double step in and play a couple holes on the back nine!

Championship course, 7000 yards, par 72....this is a tough course. Really excellent round by Rick and Guy's was solid too. Rick really holed some great putts. Lots of birdie sauce...
