The biggest problem with 'Break 75' is that you are, by definition, focusing on the outcome rather than the process. Every time you announce you "need a birdie, 3 birdies, an eagle, or a birdie-eagle finish", things go south. It happens to me too. If I think I need to birdie a hole to make up for the bogey on the previous hole, I invariably bogey that hole too. I'd like to see a 'Break 75' where you don't even talk about the score 'live' during the round but edit it in later. Just film a fun round of golf with Guy, talk about the course, the local area, the history, and let the score be the score. P.S. Wallasey is an awesome looking course. Would love to play there one day.

I never knew that they don’t play Stableford in the States. It’s probably the most common club competition here in Australia. Speeds up play, encourages you to still go for birdies and better but doesn’t completely wipe out your round for one bad hole.

I have only watched the front 9 so far, but this is already a perfect example of how important short game is. Rick made very few greens, hit very few fairways, found himself in bunkers, was hooking his irons, but because of his wedge and putter play, he got out of the front only +2. I can be playing way better, hitting fairways, most greens, etc, but my putting and chipping leads me to getting at least +5 on the front. this tells me and maybe you also that I need to work on my short game, it is the most important thing in golf

Rick I’ve been watching you for years and have always wanted you to play Wallasey as it was the course I grew up playing as a kid. Massively under appreciated course but I guess I’m biased! This video has brought back so many memories of playing with my dad around there, playing in junior comps and loving every minute of it. Glad you’ve had the chance to go back and appreciate it for the course that it is, looks like you got lucky with the weather too. I’ve Been wanting to get back in to the game for so many years but money has stopped me due to the price of clubs being so high nowadays. After watching this I think it’s about time I start saving and hopefully in the next year I can get my hands on a cheap set. Rick, I think this, brea 75 is by far and away the best thing on your channel. Being a golfer who goes out with the break 75 mindset it's good to see the thought process you go through. However, this episode epitomises something that has plagued you for the last 2 years. When you play with Guy and Adam Scott you can see your tempo is slightly out, trying to blast it, and you invariably end up left. The wedges look so much better when you slow it down. It's something I'm working on too. Great looking course mind.
