I'm 26 years old and Ping Eye 2 irons were my first adult set of irons. Very sentimental.
I never had the odyssey two ball. Back in the early 2000's when it was new, I tried it out and i gotta say it felt phenomenal. Not many putters have the feel that this one has. But I couldn't hole anything with it and frankly the price was outrageous. Especially for a putter that I couldn't aim with. Now, quite possibly, the main problem in this equation was me, but we all have our preferences and I've always liked blade style putters better.

Thanks Rick. Absolutely brilliant video. Fun fact: the name "Big Bertha" is a reference to a specific type of long-range artillery howitzer used by the German army during WWI. These guns were nicknamed "Dicke Berta" (Fat Bertha or Big Bertha) by the German soldiers as a reference to Bertha Krupp, head of the Krupp family who ran the company building these guns. The application of the name to the golf club was quite fitting: just like the famed howitzer guns, the Big Bertha driver was known to launch a projectile a very long way indeed. 🤓

My favorite Old Club I still keep in my bad is the Ping Eye 2 Sand Wedge (Black). It's the only club in my bag that when it's in my hand I know I'm going to hit a decent shot at worst. Of course practicing with it on the beach after surfing may have helped my comfort with it.. LOL

Compared to Rick and every other golfer on the course, my bag looks like a museum display. I'm playing a 2004 Taylormade R5 Dual TP driver and matching 3-wood; two 2008 Taylormade Dual Rescues (3H and 4H); a set of 1996 Ping BeCu ISI irons (5I-PW); Three 2008 Cleveland BRZ 900 Tour Action wedges; and a circa 2000 Ping B60 Isopur putter. The only thing new in my 2011 Ogio Edge stand bag are my Titleist AVX golf balls (and last year's Nikon Coolshot 40i rangefinder.)

This feels like a video about my current clubs…looked in goodwill for 6 months and eventually got a bag of callaway big berthas 3-P, 3&5W, Cleveland wedges and a 2 ball white steel putter. I’m just happy to finally be able to learn golf!

I had one of those TM rescues - that brings back memories. I also carried a TM Tour Spoon for years - fancy name for a 3 wood. Good vid!

Got an Odyssey White Steel 2 ball Blade putter as a hand-me-down from a friend and I absolutely love it! Won't change that putter any time soon...

I had that driver in 10.5 with a full set of big Bertha irons in 97’ on my high school golf team. Loved it!

I've used some classic drivers over the years: the original Callaway Big Bertha; Ping TiSI 300cc driver; Titelist 975D and Taylor Made 300. Amazing clubs all but that Ping was by far the sweetest feeling club I have ever used.

As of this week I'm now packing Titleist driver and fairway metals; 975j driver, 904f 3 fw and 975d 5 fw. I smacked them as well as the more modern clubs I replaced. Just enjoying the nostalgia.....and of course the beautiful old head covers!

I loved my titleist 975D driver and my Taylormade bubble driver, the foam filled head delivered an awesome solid feel

I had a Biggest Big Bertha 11 loft in 1999. You just brought back some great nostalgic childhood memories of me and my Dad at Willowbend.

I still use my 20 plus year old Callaway Big Bertha 3 wood warbird sole plate to this day. Good distance and accurate. Bought a brand new Epic Max last year to replace it but hated it and went back to the Big Bertha

The RBZ line is what I started with and I still own the irons and a 5 wood. Love the line and imo the RBZ 1st Gen is the best Driver and fairways TM has ever made.

Still have my Two ball. Love it. Always have been a huge Callaway lover. Slightly bias cause my mother worked for them for quite some years during the golf boom. Yes i benefitted immensely. New clubs every year if i wanted.
