@@darthbog2125I would guess that less than 10% of recreational golfers who use that grip, actually like it in terms of putting success. Its mainly to look like they know about golf and go deep, they're also desperate to talk about technique, equipment etc which is no surprise.

@@JimN109 obviously we can't read minds and it's not the type of thing he'd just admit, but yeah I also suspect he uses it because firstly he gets desperate with his poor short game and putting, and secondly it makes him look like he's a unique deep thinker when it comes to golf. Sorry I don't have a cited study or DNA evidence as you know nobody does, but it's obviously a perception of him. It would be a very Rick thing to do, when really he should keep it simple.

HELLO RICK! ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS! Just a couple of things about the Q… I own one and am delighted with its performance. It has to have nice, green, fluffy conditions. Super tight cut fairways, winter time no grass fairways or hard pan = no bueno… When the mechanism starts feeling a little crunchy, just lightly hit the club heel first on the turf. All particles will fall out and you are On your way. I take my driver. I like my Callaway Mavrik driver. It is a Senior+ 12 degree actually cranked to a 14. 44” long. Fairway finding machine averaging 225 yards. With the sand and lob wedge settings the bounce gets way strong. I play the ball back and push my hands forward. Actually balance my weight and sand shots are a breeze. I go to the course carrying the Q bag with both clubs, and a soft Ryobi drill case attached to the bag. It has essentials like balls, tees, cigars, lighters, ibuprofen, allergy pills, chapstick for the driver face (we all use it and have a blast) (I’m telling you, grease is the word😜 ) also wallet, keys, and phone.. A great time on the course. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

My first thought was, as someone who travels for work/has reps come to town "unannounced", I've been asked to go hit an "executive course" after lunch, or before dinner, and its either rent clubs for WAY too much, or say no, because I didn't ship the clubs, or have to drive home to get them. Keep this in the trunk, or attached to the carry-on, and you're good to go.

I bought this club after seeing the review and was overall think it is accurately portrayed. For context...love golf, but not great...just love the game...have a 15 handicap...don't hit the ball a long way but long enough to play bogey golf for the most part. My driver max is 225 yards and averages about 210 or so...and it costs me strokes with balls hit OB off the tee...so often times I tee off with a 3 hybrid I played 9 holes the first time with this club a few weeks ago and shot a 45...length was 5800 yards....I found I could not hit the Singer setting at all and used the Hybrid setting...getting about 170 yards off the tee. Rest of the iron settings were consistent and felt good...but about 10% shorter than my normal clubs...I was fine with that and adjusted accordingly. Gapping was accurate I have gone to the range twice since and found hitting off of mats felt ok, but every now and then a mishit would rattle the club and my hands... Hitting at the range of of grass felt great and had great results. Pitching and chipping with it took some time to adjust...but figured it out and play the ball off my back foot for consistent results. I played 9 holes with it last night and shot a 49...tried the Stinger setting off the tee like the video Q club put out as a tutorial and still could not hit it well...I think my swing speed is just too slow for 11 degree irons. It is worth it...fun to use and will be using it just for the looks I get at my 9 hole golf league every Monday night

Wanna Score under 90 n hit it strait every time? Do this drill: TOE-UP 2 TOE-UP Ball Striking DRILL. Requires a CENTER of Clubhead hit. To do this, hit 300 balls from hip hi 2 hip hi, with toe of club pointing up in hip hi backswing & toe up @ hip hi in th follow thru. Distance is not important ONLY CENTER Contact. This will lock in pure ball striking into ur Muscle Memory. U can hit 30 w this drill 10 days or 100 balls over 3 days. Doesnt matter. Also all that matters is Center of Clubface Ball Contact. That is th fith line up on th clubface.

I have noticed that when Rick is doing a "video just for fun" download (i.e. adjustable club in this video, the "all hybrids" video, some kind of vintage club set, etc) he tends to play really well. My theory is that when Rick is using his own clubs in a "competitive" format (Break 75, beat the pro with a 10 shot head start, etc) he puts pressure on himself to play perfectly, and as less-than-perfect shots happen he gets in his own head and goes into the death spiral of self-doubt and dread. When it's a "just for fun" video there is no expectation of a great score, he plays loose and free, and as a result his game is much better.

Fair review. I've owned a Q Club since shortly after they were introduced and I've played quite a bit with it. I usually pair it with my favorite driver and wedge, and sometimes putter (though I putt really well with the Q). The club plays much better than you would expect. I recently took it to my local club fitter (former mini tour player with a plus handicap...) and he used it on his simulator and he came away very impressed.

For hill walkers, dog walkers, coast path walkers, etc it’s a great way to hit a few ball on the move. Think I’d be wanting to fit a walking stick end onto the butt of the club, so that when not being used as a club, it’d be a walking stick/walking pole. Perhaps carrying a few soft practice balls as well as some proper balls and a few random tees, it’d have a use almost anywhere. Technically, although it’s not a legal in competition club, once it’s in a setting it’s in that setting and could be argued that each individual setting being a different club, the setting should be treated as different clubs. Therefore unless you add weights on the move or damage it, then you are not alternating anything else to do with the face or back of the club; in theory it’s x around to legal clubs, much in the way you’d go back to your bag to collect a different club. I’d happily see special one club speed play events. That’d attract runners to the game 🤣 It’d be a great club to carry in your car boot. Great for a lunch hour at work, where they perhaps have some green space big enough to hit a few balls.

Don't we all just stroll down the street with our dog and like magic....a golf course right there and they don't mind you playing a few holes anytime.

I thing, for a fun game after work, with your friends.. just take a lob wedge, this club and maybe driver and it could be a solid round of golf with lot of fun and minimum of weight on your shoulders!

Thanks Rick for the low down on the Q-club! It might have it’s perks but frankly I will stick with my full arsenal of clubs 😊

One reason I should have this club is whenever I visit my brother in UK, I go to play a game of golf in Oldham. I don't want to populate his store with my bag and trolley. But I hope he wouldn't mind a club lying somewhere in the store un- noticed.

It’s a great club. Takes a little getting used to. But shot on two 18 hole rounds just 4 strokes off my handicap. You and Bryson should play a round with those 3 clubs.

1# reason is you.get a full set for 220 , golf clubs are expensive and not everyone can afford them , this is a cheap option 👍

Man was one under through two holes and says it’s not perfect for tough chips. Tough chips are still tough with the best clubs! Haha seems great to me!

These are the videos that made Rick so famous and everyone love him. Hope he gets back to these and not just “break 75” with guy. Those are getting a bit boring now

Cool option for people who play par 3s. just bring this and a putter! Maybe bring along a driver if you're playing a full course.

I’d love to play a one club game. It’s odd, but innovative. You’d be a weirdo on the course to everyone else, but I could fall in love with it… I’d miss my driver and fairway woods. It’s worth a shot.

Super interesting. One potential issue is reliability/robustness. If you do have a technical failure of any kind your round is screwed, so longer term user reviews are important.

there just needs to be a rule that a field adjustable loft club counts as one club for every available loft setting. so as that club has 11 settings, there could be three more in the bag.

How about carrying it in a sunday bag. 4 or 5 clubs. Driver, putter, a proper sand wedge and this club to fill in the middle clubs? Would work for me and my scooter I drive to the golf course....nice review Rick.

6. Travel club! Instead of worrying about your whole set getting "lost" on flights. Maybe it can fit diagonally in a large suit case. Try it when you come to the States again.

Assuming it comes in a left handed model, it would be a great club if one, for any reason, someone wanted to start playing with the opposite hand for a righty.
