Our theme: places that are good for your soul to visit post-COVID - destinations where you can connect with charming cultures and engrossing nature on your own terms. Rick will explain the post-COVID appeal of Santorini, with its dramatic white-washed towns perched cliff-side as if designed to catch the sunset; Mount Etna, where you can climb an active volcano and witness the power of nature; Nazaré, where you can "go local" Portuguese-style, in the home of the world’s biggest and most prized surf; the hill towns of Italy, where you can find that perfect corner to keep your head above the flood of the 21st century; Bucharest, Romania’s bold and virtually unknown capital city; and Dartmoor, a land of stony reminders of civilizations past, and wild ponies loping through the mist. Just came back today from our three week holiday to Italy: Marche and Toscany, enjoying the real Apero Spritz and lovely wines, fish meals, beautiful landscapes and old towns. October is a wonderfull month for travellers, the temperatures are mild ( around 70 degrees ) and the tourist season with high prices and crowds has finished. It was wonderfull. If possible, try to travel during April,may, September, October, less chance of cancellation and weather will still be pleasant. I had no problem at all during my travel to Egypt Jordan during September October 2021. Just had to take 4 RtPCR test before entering each countries, not pleasant tests, but I rather take the test than to be bored at home.

@@RickStevesTravelTalks Rick, my first visit to Santorini in 2010 was via the MINOAN ship from Venice ☺️ the ship was main European, cars, RV, , trucks transporting cargos cargos etc on the bottom of the ship. After a few days in Athens, I took the Star ferry to Santorini for 2 nights. I wish to repeat this adventure again ☺️

It's not capitalism, it's a free market, that makes the former eastern bloc now productive. We are under capitalism, but we have extreme poverty in the U.S.; we have high suicide, high violent crime, and outrageous homelessness. Capitalism is not doing well for us at all.

I have always enjoyed watching Rick Steve’s travels and his videos, but half the respect I had for him went out the window when he started campaigning for Biden on his channel. This is no place for political campaigns, in my opinion, the point of the channel is quite different and this type of agitation turns off non-political viewers like myself. Please keep in mind and good luck, Rick!
