I can still remember going to the stadium as a kid with my dad for supercross in the 2stroke days. They kept the roof shut during practice and walking in to the smoke and the smell and the sound was incredible! Was 20 years ago and I'll never forget it

Woah! That shiny new Suzuki sounds precisely like a late-70s Husqvarna at idle revs. That's interesting, because the Huskies always had a very unique sound to them. Once he got it moving along the track, you start to get that "modern" two-stroke sound, the sort of rattly-echo of the silencer. Makes me wish it were summer in Oregon again so I could get the gas on with my good ol' 250 Husky. I would really love to see Ricky take the bars of a 500cc-class two-stroke from the glory days.

Stewart is my fav. ridder (I'm not trollin), and Ricky is my second fav. Carmichael is a down to earth guy... he's one of those guys that no matter how much money he's ever made or how famous he's gotten.. he's never forgotten about where he came from and isn't a jerk

Carmichael was a hero to millions of us, and millions wish he would take up the mantle of the stroker king again. Someone will do it, he will have the single largest group of fans gathered, ever! How can we let this great engine go the way of the Dodo bird? We need to fight the good fight and support the stroker on all fronts. Support the companys that fight, like ours, race/ride/buy them whenever possible and sign the web petition that will allow them to compete fairly in MX and SX.

I ride in the summer, it is the best thing ever. 2 Strokes are the best and never fail. I will always stay with the 2 stroke. It sounds great and the smell of it, i just go crazy. The only reason that the 4 stroke is domninating is because the engine is almost twice the size, if you put a 250 2 Stroke against a 250 4 stroke the 2 stroke would domninate because it has alot more power.

ive never been Rickey's biggest fan, but he wanted to go out on top. and he did. nobody had anything for him, indoors our out. and NOTHING beats the sound of a 2 stroke. especially on a supercross track! i still love going to the pro races, but it doesnt send a chill down the spine like it did when the top guys did their parade lap on the works 250s.....MC, cooper, stanton, bradshaw, emig, jeff the chicken, button, henry, lamson, swink, pedro gonzalez, ryan ryno hughes.........

man I ride a 250f but boy do I miss my yz125 just the sound and the smell of the premix brings back some memories. Who cares if the 2 smoke pollutes there the best engines in the world twice the power in a lighter easier maintainbly engine.

4 strokes and 2 strokes. the answer is in the rider. they both are nice. personally 2 strokes are nicer to me just bein that they're cheaper to take care of and they last forever. but on the track, it all comes down to the rider.

When i got firste 2 stroke (yamaha yz 85) my dad always said "give it more gas you you rune the gears right, go out and try agian buddy" now he's like "set it a gear up you almost ride the gear too long out" so now im working that! :)
