All that and he could make the bike corner on a dime. The battles him and James had were incredible.

Practice makes perfect. Getting home on a Thursday night after practice through Gnarly traffic, then fixing the fork seal just blown at Club Moto before the weekend race. Glad it's over and successful as a SR.

The old saying "hard work beats talent". I remember hearing Ricky talk about it in his prime that guys out there were naturally faster than him but he will make sure they won't outwork him.
@michaelknabusch60116 ай бұрын
Only person that was faster than Ricky was James lol and James crashed a lot. Ricky is by far the most dominant rider of All time. Chad Reed not as talented as him at all nor MC

I wish he actually talked about his training, instead of just saying _high volume_

Always respected the guys who worked hard and smart. There is a very long list of hugely talented riders who never won that much because they didn’t work. You know, guys like Ron Lechien…

Once RC got Aldon Baker involved in his program, then he accomplished having the total training package and changed the game forever.

Talent lets you jump out on front at the start of the race, stamina puts you out in front at the end of the race !

You don't get to be the Goat on natural talent alone. It takes 1000s of hours off the bike before the season even begins.

I used to hat Carmichael but over the years I’ve completed changed my thinking about him and have to say I’m a fan. I’ve never seen him be disrespectful to anyone ever. That’s a big reason he won me over as a fan
