Pro Moto Ride, Jeremy Martin takes on the Leadville 100 MTB race after taking a forced leave from moto. After back to back concussions during the Supercross season, Jeremy Martin decided to take on a new discipline while keeping his fitness up for his moto career.
In this video we follow Troll Training Athlete, Jeremy Martin and coach John Wessling as they take on one of the hardest mountain bike races in the world.

Thanks for highlighting the importance of cycling in the motocross community. Not many riders seem to talk about this. This, along with the Diaz brothers, got me into cycling, and it's been very important to my fitness and sanity.

You two brothers & Eli are my favorite riders & I've have been following y'all for most of your professional careers. The 7:07 time was a fantastic time for your first one. I bet you made up good time on the downhills sections, after racing the downhills sections of motocross at lightning speed.

Leadville is such an insane MTB race and going 7:07 on your first attempt is absolutely mental. You fricken animal. Hope this scratches the itch and you do more events.

Congrats on an impressive race. To do what he did with the little bit of experience he has is just mind blowing. A friend of mine raced it a few years back and he has raced for many years and he just barely finished. Tough race.

Congratulations Jmart. What an outstanding finish. I have raced about 5 mtn bike races in the Clydesdale class lol. Don’t laugh to hard at 6’3” and 240 it fits me well haha. Most races were at ski hills so definitely some climbing. Tough sport definitely lots of mental game. But what you put together is pro level very happy for you and Alex

I’ve done a few Mtb marathons (Merida series) back in the day here in the UK……so I know how it’s a world of hurt, but that altitude in the mix, sheesh! Well done J-Mart, awesome performance. Loved seeing John Tomac the legend telling you to get the group in front, you can retire a racer but not the racer inside eh, haha!

That's insane AF, absolutely crazy, just barely over 7 for first time, crikey, that was the course record when I did it 17 years ago. Just a bit of a correction on loss of oxygen at that altitude, it's more like 20-25%, it's crazy, even the step up from around 7k ft to 10k is insane - my max HR at the time was around 190bpm and because of the altitude, I couldn't even reach 165bpm

Dang I would have went if I knew you guy's were there. I'm the vertically challenged guy that was talking to you about your footpegs at Lakewood a few year's ago. That elevation is no joke. Cute moto track in Leadville be a hell of a spot for some training. This was fun, probably because it's in my backyard, sick edit.🤙🏁

Way to go JMart , the seat starts to kill my ass after 30 miles so l head back to the barn when l do my training rides , lm 62 but still race A class harescrambles . You’ve got to start at the opposite end of the valve stem when putting in a tire. It goes on by hand then

I used to live in Leadville in the mid 1970's, We had a motocross track about 5 miles south of town east of the highway. I rode that track almost everyday that the snow would allow ....usually April til end of October. Motocross at 10,000 ft is gnarly....lol....we raced twice a month...I don't understand why mx racers don't train in Leadville or Buena Vista.

@@TrollTraining i pulled my plantar fasciatis 1 week before, i got no sleep the night before the race due to pre race jitters and then i had GI issues after mile 52 . I still finished the race and got my buckle. It was my first 100 mile race and i plan to go back and do sub 25 lol
